  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley chuckled slightly at his quick reaction, saying, "It's alright, Shane, relax." She then stood up and walked over to him, her eyes cautious. "I was just practicing, and it is pretty early, so I waited." she said, brushing back her hair silently. "Anyway, I don't have any food here, so we're going to have to walk to a resturaunt or a café." she said.

  • Shane scowled and thought, Why does it sound like she's making fun of me. "I am relaxed." He was obviously not relaxed and that made his denial even more humorous. "Practicing for what? Oh...your ninja skills." He snickered at her teasingly and stood up. "Sure. That's fine with me." It's like a date. He frowned inwardly and told himself to stop thinking of such thoughts.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley narrowed her eyes at him. "I have an idea for you to see before we go." she said, hopping down on to the ground. She decided to be mean and let him figure a way down from there. Before she allowed him to go anywhere, she focused chakra on her feet and climbed the tree. She stood upside down on the branch and smiled at him. "I'd like to see you try this." she teased, her arms crossed.

  • "See what exactly?" Shane followed her outside to see her standing upside down on the tree. His first emotion was panic. "Riley! Get the hell down!!" When he saw that she wasn't anywhere near close to falling he blushed with embarrassment. "Nyeh...nevermind. Neat trick. One I won't be trying any time soon." He stuck his tongue out at her and grinned. He looked over the side of the house and at the ground. Now how am I suppose to get down...

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley chuckled. "I would teach you, but you're too fat!" she sneered, her eyes narrowing as she flipped down and hit the ground. "Come on fatso, I'm hungry!" she called to him in between her laughing.

  • Shane glared at her. "I am NOT fat! I am muscled there's a difference. I would take off my shirt and show you, but I wouldn't want to fluster you to much now." He chuckled and frowned. He didn't enjoy jumping from heights. Using the tree trunk and branches to hang onto he made his way down gracefully. He landed on his feet and stuffed his hands in his pocket. "Where are you taking me ninja girl?"

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley looked away when he commented about his shirt. She then looked at him when he started climbing down. "Not sure, we should just walk through town." she said. "But... can I trust you not to give away my location of my house?" Riley asked him, narrowing her eyes at him.

  • Shane huffed and rolled his eyes, "Who would I even tell!? Ugh...never mind, you can trust me." He ran a finger through his hair and looked back at her. "I doubt I would even be able to find my way back here anyway."

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley nodded. "You have to come here a few times before you can even start to get used to these surroundings." she told him as she started walking. "We're going to a diner, the people there know me really well. They're a cute old couple, they've been with me every step. The two are like my grandparents," Her eyes seemed to bright up as she walked.

  • Shane smiled at her first sentence, without telling her why. He followed after her quickly and strode by her side. "That sounds good to me. You sound really fond of them," he smiled. He was curious as to what happened to her parents but that was a question that could wait until later.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley smiled. "Yeah. If I were to choose someone to trust with my life, I would only trust 'grandma'." she said and chuckled. She's she sweetest thing ever.

    [school brb]

  • (I'm a bit late with this reply...but kk XD)

Shane smiled and looked her a bit sadly, "That's nice. I don't think I have some I would ever trust with my life. It's hard for me to trust anyone nowadays. But that just me." He turned his face for a second and when he looked back the look was gone and he was grinning like an idiot.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley smiled at his grin. She honestly thought that was the cutest thing ever. "That's ok, I wasn't that comfortable with trusting you when I brought you to my house I wasn't sure if I could trust you, since..." she trailed off, but shook her head as her eyes clouded with memories. "Forget I said anything." she muttered, her voice cold at her thoughts.

    [its ok ^^]

  • Shane stopped walking and stared at her. "No. Wait, what do you mean by that. If you're going to start a though you better make sure to finish it." He frowned and raised his eyebrow at her.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley stopped a few feet after he did, tilting her head down to look at the ground. She took a moment of silence before she spoke. "Since the last person who was able to memorize my location wasn't someone I shouldn't have trusted." her voice cracked slightly. "They were apart of a clan that was out to get my family, and they forced me to kill each one of my family members." She refused to look up from the ground. "Mother, father, sister, and brother. Each one of them... Gone. After that, I've been cursed. I'll explain at the diner." She then started to walk forward.

  • Shane gulped as he stared after her with wide eyes. Everything felt so unreal. This girl, the one he had never even taken the care to notice....seemed unreal. He nodded hesitantly and started to follow her. The thought passed through his mind without his realization of it...If what she was saying was true...could this girl really be trusted? He caught up quickly but remained silent, he kept his eyes forward. His mind running a thousand miles a second.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]Riley kept her face towards the ground as she stayed quiet, not daring to speak.

About ten minutes later, they had gotten to the towns again, and they had arrived at the diner. She opened the door, and was instantly greeted by the waitress that was her age and the old man at the register. "Hey, Ryan! Where's Grace?" Riley asked him, and he replied, "She's in the kitchen. Who's this young fella over there?" he asked, pointing at Shane. "This is Shane." Riley told him.

  • Shane looked at the old man that had mentioned him. He smiled kindly and stepped a bit closer. "Oh yeah. I'm Shane, it's nice to meet you, sir." He had put the earlier incident in the back of his mind to stay, for now.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]"What a nice young man!" an old female voice said, and Grace walked out of the kitchen. She walked over to Riley and nudged her in the arm. "Say, is this Shane kid your boyfriend? Cause he's a keeper!" she said a little too loudly, and Riley flushed. "Uh--no no, Grace, you can go back to the kitchen now.." she told her, rushing her in to the kitchen while Ryan just laughed.

  • Shane rubbed his head awkwardly and bursted into giggles at the sight of Riley's reaction. He looked at Ryan and grinned, "Is she always like that?" He raised his voice so Grace might hear him. "Nice to meet you Grace! And for the record, Riley hasn't 'made' me her boyfriend YET!"
