    The tiny four year old girl sat in the corner of the alley way, shaking from the cold as snow began to silently fall. She brushed a strand of raven black hair out of her emerald green eyes as she looked up, watching as person after person walked by, not noticing her. She whimpered as a lone tear ran down her cheek. She had been living in a alley way for a long while now, ever since her mother decided to abandon her there. Her mother was a teen mother who was very selfish and heartless, she abandoned the girl there because of money mostly, thinking that the girl would find a new home. She then gently looked up as she saw someone coming.

    A 17 year old girl walked into the alley, looking around. She was kinda new to town. She sighed as snow got on her. She saw a small girl and smiled at her.

    The girl quickly hid behind a few trashcans, the shadows helping to hide her tiny skinny figure. She gulped and closed her eyes tightly, afraid that the girl would hurt her.

    The girl was named Summer. Summer slowly walked to the little girl, still seeing her. "Are you okay..?"She asked the small girl.

    When she saw the gold fish her stomach instantly growled, she placed a hand over her stomach and backed away further

    "I won't hurt you..Im not like your mum. Im just me.."Said Summer, staring at the girl. She got her coat off and gave it to the girl.

    She tilted her head down to look at the ground, afraid to look Summer in the eye. She carefully and shyly came out from behind the trash can.

    "Selena..." she said in a voice no more audible then a whisper. She eyes the goldfish but didn't dare to take one.

    She whimpered, she had not eating for a few days and desperately wanted food, but was afraid to eat it, not knowing if she was allowed to, or not knowing if Summer would get angry if she did

    She looked at it and after a few seconds reached down, taking a few. She then quietly began to eat.

    She quickly finished and looked down, pulling her knees to her chest and resting her chin on her knee's, looking down, her body was shaking from fear and from the cold as she sniffled
