I think simple avies always look better. Not something too loud xD I use gimp a lot to customize some nature pictures, my avie is a bad example though because its too narrow and I am redoing it :3 Or something artsy, artsy looks good almost everywhere

If not, why not make it a cat in a swimsuit and ask someone if they can draw it for you. xD
