"Let her," was Galen's throaty snarl, changing even as she spoke. She tossed me her knife which I caught by the hilt, and yowled a hissed challenge before morphing into the large, lithe, and very-fanged black panther that she was... at least when she was mad. "Lovely," I snarled before turning to face Robin. I didn't sense anything from the majority of the Erasers mentally, so I knew that either someone was having a hayday with light, or it was a fluke. I didn't bother warning the others for two reasons: a) because there was a very angry Robin-wolf charging at me, and b) because I wouldn't be able to warn them which was ones were real, and which weren't, so if a real one happened to come straight at them, they wouldn't know the difference. So I kept quiet. I morphed my nails sharper than they usually were, ending in two-inch claws and wished I had a chance to morph like Galen did. I'd get a lot more speed and power even if I was a tad smaller than the wolf. 'Specially jumping -- but I didn't dwell. I yowled a cat-like challenge and ran forward, a knife in my hand extended, though I knew I didn't want to have to slice and dice if I could help it. I'd rather knock 'em out and question 'em later. So I barralled forward, trying to get my shoulder in Robin's neck to bowl us both over. "Take this, you scrapper!" I snarled, within two feet.

    Galen
I couldn't help a tail-lash as I felt my claws extend. Hoo, boy, did I feel better. It'd been months since I'd been in panther form and I was itching for a fight. I padded two steps forward before stopping and turning to Lee. Speaking past my canines was very difficult, not to mention the somewhat different vocal chords, but I dealt. "Now?" I asked Lee, rolling my shoulders as I got ready to charge.

  • Lee

I stared at Galen, taken back. "Umm..." I suddenly snapped out of it. "Yes! Someone give me a weapon!" I shouted. Why can they morph and I can't? Now that's just unfair to me. I only had some long fingernails and... my other knife! I'm such an idiot sometimes. I reached under the back of my shirt and grabbed the large hunting knife behind my wing. "Okay, now I'm ready. GO!" I screamed and lunged at the nearest Eraser.

    Solar Flare

The fake Erasers were a good idea, and I was fairly happy until fire started falling on my head. I hissed like a large cat and started to change into a tiger. It was my favorite form, but I couldn't wield the sword. The perfect solution; go halfway. A fine layer of hair covered my body, and claws formed on my fingers. Fangs erupted out form my mouth and fell to all fours. "Good bye." I hissed.

  • Robin

Fire!? I had narrowly missed the assault; I suspected it was Rayen behind it as I was still somewhat in the shadows and probably out of her line of sight. I would have laughed at Solar if I hadn't been so distracted. And of course her change wasn't something to laugh about. I gradually became aware of the avian looking to knock me over. It was too late, however, and I w flung back by the force of the other boy colliding with me. I cried out in surprise and jumped back to my feet, practically seeing Dev as he laughed at my mistake. I faced the avian boy again, waiting for his next move. I might be able to use his own action against him if I could plan my move swiftly enough.

    Dev

I commanded a few of the "erasers" to advance on Lee and Galen. I intended knives and swords and whips for them to use however they saw fit. I gave them limited free will and sat back once again to watch how things advanced. I hoped Xavier would be proud when we brought them all back to his lab.

    Rayen

The tigress jumped down from the roof of the school, landing just in front of Solar Flare. The tigress screamed and reared back to claw at the girl while keeping her back to the avians. She- My eyes burst open and I screamed, opening my wings and feeling the muscles tear as I saved myself from becoming a giant pancake on the pavement. I was dimly aware of Lee having asked me if I was okay. “I’m fine!" I yelled and the heat I felt increased. As it did so, the fire at the erasers' feet doubled in size. Dev cursed and tried to escape it by climbing the nearest tree and Robin yelped and tried to stifle the flames by rolling around on the ground. I felt bad for a second and his fire lessened slightly. My eyes widened. Was that... Me? The tiger made of light and heat looked up at me before going back on the offensive. I smiled slightly and charged one of the erasers heading towards Galen. It hit the wall and disappeared. Obviously, Dev's concentration was succumbing to my fire as well.

  • Nikki's eyes where wide with fear. she jumped up and fly up. she looked back down at the other Bird Kids. she covered her mouth with her hand as she saw some kind of fighting and heard screaming. she wanted to go down and help. no. they don't like you anyway. they don't even pay attention to you. they ignore you. she thought to herself. she flew down a little bit.

  • Galen
I smiled ferally as I bolted out to meet the tiger chick. Hoo, boy was I gonna enjoy creaming the fashion queen. I yowled a challenge at her that sounded fully tiger - another lovely tweak to my DNA - then saw the others charging towards us. I faltered before I felt Shift's distracted voice in my head: They're illusions! The real ones are only the ones we s-- he was cut off from whatever he was about to say. I again bounded to meet the half-tigress chick, claws unsheathing to better grip the tough grass under my paws. My tail was lowered, and my eyes - still a dark blue - glimmered with hatred towards the Erasers. I snarled again before I took two, then three bounds before I left the ground. My intentions were to come crashing down on her shoulders, but if she somehow evaded me, I'd be ready.
I was used to how the Erasers fought... after all, my cousin used to be one.

    Shift
I growled as I landed on top of the wolven form with an audible whump! Oww... But I didn't let it stop me. I jumped up just as quickly as I'd started and smiled, my teeth slightly smaller as I put on my best friendly face. "Hi! How are ya?" I asked in a friendly-enough tone before scowling again and slamming a sneaker-clad foot towards his chest, ready to follow up with an elbow to his jaw, without waiting for a reaction.
I had to press my advantage before I completely lost it...

    Rayk
"Go," Riven said from beside me, having ignored the fire surrounding both of us by jumping over it, already having sharp, narrow spikes sliding out from her knuckles, each roughly eight inches long. She glanced at me once before she took off towards the girl who hadn't turned into a panther. I couldn't hear what they called her, but I thought her name could've been Lee, or McGee or something. I looked at the panther once more, wishing I could've seen her before she did... Something about that attack form... No way. She's gone and probably dead. Focus... I snarled audibly at Dev's lack of doing anything and took off running, pumping my legs without apparent effort as I crossed the distance of the field, heading towards the other girl who - I suspected - had started the fire by her stunned look. I glanced again at Dev, seeing him panic, and couldn't help a small smile I jerked my head to clear the brown hair out of my eyes. Maybe there would be a way to get out of this... somehow.

    Riven
I knew Rayk was behind me, because the grass around me darkened from the shadows trailing after him, making him look like a fiery dude - except the 'fire' was shadows. Without glancing back, I chanced a look at my feet, having felt the moist, misty feel of shadows. Did shadows always feel like this? Uh, no. I usually couldn't feel them. Only when Rayk was close by did shadows feel anything at all.
I ignored him as he veered off elsewhere, and concentrated on barrelling down on Lee, hating what I was doing... except I figured there wasn't any choice.
    There was never a choice.

  • Lee

My large knife plunged through the Eraser and I almost fell forward. They were fakes! "Sh*t!" I growled and turned around just in time to see Riven about to ram me. I rolled between her legs and tried to slash her back as I stood up. It would be hard, not so much for me, but Riven cold be just that fraction of a second faster and manage to either dodge it or grab my arm and we it against me. The knife I mean.

    Solar Flare

I ignored the extra fire and roared at Galen. The sword was against my thigh, almost scraping the ground. Man, I hope I can lay some major hurt on her. The blade flashed in the extra light of the fire as I charged and swung it quickly down onto her head, hoping to cleave it in two. What can I say? I forgot that I wasn't supposed to kill them.

  • Nikki suddenly got an idea. She looked at the once again empty music room. She flew in and grabbed a violin and a matching bow. She flew back out side and landed only a foot away from the battle. She folded her blue wings. "plug your eyes!" she warned to the bird kids. She lowered her bow to the violin strings.

  • Galen
I didn't have a choice but to ignore the girl who shouted something at me - if I did, I'd been in two. I snarled a challenge and twisted enough to avoid the blow that was easy to see coming, stretching out a paw to slash at Sword Shrike - what I called whoever this was. If she gave too much resistance, I'd have to change human to use what mobility and agility I could against her - in panther form, I didn't have the full range of punches and kicks that I normally did. I aimed a blow to her noggin and snapped my teeth close to her neck, already knowing that it would miss. Crap!

    Riven
I sort of felt bad for having to capture the Avian. I knew that I'd be doing the same thing in her place, but... I couldn't move out of the rut. I may sympathize, but if I didn't fight back, I'd be dead before the morning was over. I rolled under the knife and came up faster than a normal eye could follow, snapping upwards in a ready position with three eight-inch spikes protruding from my right hand, and a single, fourth of an inch-around, ten inch spike in my left. It would function as a knife for the time being, as the edges were as sharp as one and it was more durable than the normal bone. I feigned left and made a quick one-two fake to the right before standing stock-still, waiting for her to make the first real move.

  • Nikki flew up and began to play a quick dancing like tune. she hoped it would work. it was supposed to make anyone with out their ear's plugged dance. giving the bird kids a chance to escape. she shut her eyes and played loudly, praying it would work.

  • Solar Flare

I Snapped my head back so the giant paw wouldn't hit me too hard, and managed to duck in time from her mouth. A claw scratched my face and I hissed angrily. One of them managed to hit me! I lashed out with my left hand - the one not carrying my sword - aiming to strike the panther in her jaw with claws outstretched.

    Lee

I easily dodged the feints and crouched low to ground. She was good, and the only advantage I could have would be if I manage to my other knife. I sPrang up into the air and landed on the other side with my wigs slightly stretched out. Suddenly, I started to dance. "What the fu**?!" I ended up doing an Irish jig to my other knife, feeling deeply embarrassed.

  • Nikki opened her eyes and smiled. it was working! ''guys, get out of here while the Erasers are distracted!'' she shouted, still playing, and hopeing it would keep on working and that the Bird kids would get away, not worried about herself.

  • Galen
I felt like time had stopped.
I heard some faint music, but I had to ignore it. It was fight, or die. The hand whipped at me really fast, and I wasn't all that prepared. I tried frantically to scramble backwards, straining to pull away. Then something collided with my temple, though it wasn't a head-on collision. I felt something sharp scrape above my eye and staggered backwards. Only then did I realize that I'd changed back human, clutching at my head, and grimacing in pain. I stumbled backwards and threw up a hand as I hit the ground. I tried to cry out, but only managed a rough mutter before the ground seemed to rise up to meet me.
    Thud.
I blinked open. I knew I'd hit my head hard. My vision was blurry, my head was throbbing, and my ears were ringing, but I staggered upright. I had a feeling that I was going to end up dead or captured, but maybe I could take this fashion whelp with me. "Bring it... Fashion Shrike," I growled, blood trailing down along my nose from above my eyebrow, dripping to the ground.

    [Ah, low muse... so tired...]

  • Solar Flare

I grimaced and walked over to Galen. "I really wish it were longer." I mused. The sword at m side still looked clean and ready for blood. It was interesting to see her change back into a an so quickly. For no reason, I changed back too. I lifted the broadsword up and inspected it for a few seconds. Maybe some torture first would be nice, but then she might escape. "I would follow orders and allow you to live, but you pushed it too far. Say goodbye." I hissed. Using both hands, I lifted the sword and brought it down in a perfect arch, aiming for her neck. I was going to savor every moment, until the world turned black.

    Lee

"Goodbye, BIT**!" A throwing knife plunged into Solar Flare's neck, and she fell forward onto the girl, dead. I ran towards Galen. "Are you okay?!" I shouted, kicking at a fake eraser.

  • [How on earth did I forget to RP Riven?]

    Galen
I could've sworn some fashionista-turned-smelly-animal had fallen on me, but I was too unfocused, still feeling the blood pour over my face from the row of three scratches. "Uhn...?" I groaned, blearily lookin up. I thought I heard Lee call something, but it sounded super disjointed. I sat up, holding my head with my right hand, since the left side of my face was streaked with my own blood.

    Riven
I watched as the girl with the knife bounded over to the bleeding girl on the floor, Solar dead. Hm.... I didn't really feel anything about it... but when did I ever? No emotions soaking through to the surface, seeing as I didn't feel like I could if I tried, I walked slowly over to the two girls, three spikes protruding out my knuckles in one hand, and the long knife-like flat spike out the other. I wasn't going to kill them - those weren't my orders.
And what was my life but just following my orders?

  • OOC: Wow a lot's gone on! O.O Like Dev's reaction to Solar's death? He's heartless, what can I say? And is Sasha going to get caught in this fight or...?
    IC:

    Robin

I was clearly in over my head this time. Disoriented and singed from the fire, I failed to dodge Skyler's next move, taking the blow to my chest and falling back another few steps. I growled at his words, snapping at his foot. My teeth were just about to close on his ankle when I remembered not to hurt him too badly. I pulled back slightly, making it appear as though I hadn't followed through enough on my lunge and rolled to the side, limping slightly on the seared, blackened pads of my feet. The next thing I know, I've half-shifted back to human and I'm waltzing around like a pro. "Why the fu** am I dancing!?" For the second time today, my body was not my own!

    Dev

I ignored Rayk's displeasure, glad someone was finally advancing on the fire girl. My attention was drawn away as I saw a flash of red and Solar Flare collapsing. The other girl stood behind her, her knife protruding from Solar's neck. I froze in utter disbelief. Solar had been one of my best fighters. Now I'd have to find a replacement! Sh*t! Some of the people in the fray paused and I thought there might be a development. Then a few of them began to dance, entrapped in the harmless musician's spell. I was hooting with laughter over Robin's misfortune when I fell out of my tree and started dancing as well... The hokey pokey. "I want that girl dead!" I screamed, pointing at the flying girl with the instrument. How dare she bend me to her will!?

    Rayen

The tigress dissipated, clearly not needed anymore. I felt her nestle within me and felt safe--er. "Nice aim, Lee!" I was ecstatic that we'd managed to bring an eraser down without any casualties already. I panicked at Galen's injuries, about to rush over when I turned my head to see an eraser of my own to handle. Bring it on! I whirled, meaning to kick him in the stomach while simultaneously summoning a ball of fire to throw in his face. I smiled to myself, thanking Nikki for the distraction and glad the music hadn't affected me... yet.

  • Rayk
I ignored the music fairly easily, having been used to tuning out just about everything in my long, miserable life. I threw up my forearm, blocking her kick, then with my free left hand, I created a temporary shield of shadow to squelch the fire. I heard Dev fall down, not caring in the least, and had felt Solar collapse - dead or injured. I was almost happy that she wasn't in the picture. Almost. That'd save many experiments and Erasers alike pain and suffering... though I was more sympathetic towards the experiments. retaliated with a snap-kick, aimed for her left arm, not wanting to injure her too badly, while simulataneously keeping an eye on Robin, Riven, and Dev. The moment they weren't paying attention, I might have a chance to get the heck out of here... But in the meantime, I had to stay uninjured from the fire girl.

    Shift
I started to laugh at Robin's dancing problem for a few seconds, already having realized how close I was to losing a foot. Pushing the thought out of my mind, I ditched the claws on my hands with an audible shnick! and turned towards Rayen. She was battling some black-clad goth boy... except he looked pretty dang familiar... Oh, well. I'd figure it out later. Meanwhile, I bolted over towards where Lee was dueling with some super fast girl with freaking spikes coming out of her hands.

  • Lee

I walked over to Solar Flare's back and stepped on it. I yanked the knife out and quickly cleaned it on my shirt. This would be a he** of a tale to tell people. Time for some more death. I thought grimly.Without warning, I grabbed my other knife and charged at Riven.

    Sasha

There were very loud noises coming from the back of the school, but no one else seemed to notice. I quickly waved off my friends and walked over to the back. Checking to make sure no one noticed me, I pushed open a door and stepped outside... and screamed. It almost looked like a movie fight scene, except this was real. There were people with knives, others with strange things coming out of them, and some more that weren't even human. I backed away and hit the locked door. And that was when the corpse on top of a girl started moving.

    Solar Flare

Ow. That hurt. "You little..." I coughed as my vocal chords healed themselves. I hated it when people tried to kill me. You would have to make at least five lethal hits at one time or burn me to cinders or dump me in a vat of acid to actually kill me. It still hurt though. I reached up and snapped my head into the correct position before pushing myself off of the girl. "Well, why don't we continue, mutt?"

  • Nikki sighed. Her music was done working, and these bird kids were not like her. She was peaceful and the others used weaponds and killed. She looked around and flew a little bit higher. She felt weak and lonely and ignored.

  • Rayen

I sprang back, goosebumps spreading and the hair on the back of my neck standing up. Whatever the eraser did to extinguish my fire gave me a really creepy feeling. All the more reason the get him out of the way. I'm a righty, so naturally my defenses are better on my right side. When the eraser aimed a kick for my arm I spun around and tried to ram into him football-player style, using the force of my body and whatever speed I could muster to try to knock him off balance, even a little.

    Robin

My teeth sharpened and I felt my canines extend. I tried not to let the boy get to me; I couldn't get overly involved or else I might hurt him. I agreed with Dev's sentiment, for once, towards the musical girl. Just not to the same extent, you must understand. I would never actually kill her, or order anyone else to for that matter. When she stopped playing I didn't give it another thought, instead using any amount of surprise I could have on the boy now and lashed out with my foot, hoping to knock him to the ground. I pulled out a vial of whatever Dev had used to control me earlier and ripped off the cap, tossing the contents of the vial at Skyler and hoping that any contact with the skin would give him a reaction at some level like the kind I'd had. Perhaps I could order him to calm down so I could sort this out. It seemed entirely possible that the avians could escape, especially if I aided them. On the other hand, it was no use going against the whitecoats. Decisions, decisions...

    Dev

I straightened out as the music ended, the red haze still going strong. I wouldn't sit back and allow the avians to continue to make fools of us erasers any longer. Then a new girl exited the school, apparently trapped here with the rest of us. I would bring the avians back to the school, and perhaps I would bring back this one as well to make up for the time it took us to accomplish a simple task such as this. In the back of my mind somewhere it registered that Solar Flare wasn't as dead as I had previously thought. But I didn't really care. We all had expiration dates, and I'd have to replace her sooner or later.
