  • (Before you post, I haven't read the HG books. I've only seen the movie, so I have limited knowledge of the series... Just a warning xP
I would also like you to reply like... semi-advanced. Not just one or two sentence replies... Please, and thank you.
Also, the Tributes from other Districts can either be played by you or me, or we can just randomly narrate their actions.)

    Name: Kinnley Arafelle
    Gender: Female
    Age: 16
    District: 12
    Siblings: None
Crush: None (This is where you come in. Hence the title.)
    Other: None
    --
So, the story begins at the District 12 Reaping.
    --
Kinnley Arafelle glanced around, past the numerous heads searching for her friend. Unable to spot her, she returned her attention forward. The woman up front picked out a piece of paper. Kinnley crossed her fingers, hoping and praying her name wouldn't be read. She supposed she jinxed it. "Kinnley Arafelle." The microphone amplified her spoken name. It seemed everyone had turned their heads to look at her. She hesitantly walked forward, horror glowing in her eyes.

  • Name: Hawk Greyson
    Gender: Male
    Age: 17
    District: 12
Siblings: A twin brother named Eagle, their parents were really into birds.
    Crush: None, yet
Other: I'm only on page 100 of the first book, so we can get through the limited knowledge part together XD

  • OOC: Oh, I totally forgot X'D
IC: [align=center]Hawk chewed uneasily on a knuckle on his left, hand imagining how his brother would get by if he were to be picked and killed. Hawk had always been resorceful one, always ready to go dive in a trash can or go into the forest to feed his brother and father. Or, his brother now. Their father had died of hunger not long ago. He had lost his legs while mining and was practically useless. He hoped, begged, for him not to be picked. He only had two more years before he was in the clear, his brother and him would be safe from the Reapings. He blinked as a girl was called and walked forward. His heart jumped a little as Eagle set a hand on his shoulder. He looked over to see his brother's familiar smile. The thick brown hair. The warm blue eyes. Hawk could feel himself relax. "You're going to be fine." His brother said with an air of mystery.

  • OOC. Lol! XD

    IC.
"Now, for the boys," announced the woman. She reached in and grabbed a name. "Hawk Greyson." She smiled and scanned the crowd for the Tribute. "Come on up," she said cheerfully.
Kinnley felt her eyes getting watery, like when you stare at a screen for too long. She blinked and sighed shakily. She located her friend in the crowd. She looked as though she was trying her best not to cry. Meanwhile, the crowd of boys parted into a path for Hawk to get out.

  • Eagle blinked at Hawk before stepping in front of his brother, blocking the path. His clear blue eyes shone with hate and sadness before Hawk pushed him out of the way. He knew his brother would find a way to survive, if it only ment continuing his work with making clothes. Eagle had always been the clever, funny, kind one who was great at trades. He would have over whelmed the other Tributes with sponcers. But Hawk was the one who hunted, the one who knew how to kill, the one that kept them alive. He walked forward, his shoulders back and his head held high. He nodded as Kinnley looked at him, a small smile on his face. He had to admit, he wasn't the nicest guy and would probably have a hard time with sponcers. But he could handle blood like no other.

  • OOC. Sorry, no.

    IC.
"The Tributes for District 12," the woman smiled. "Go on, shake hands." She put an arm around Kinnley and Hawk, pushing them more together. Kinnley shyly extended her arm for a handshake. She wasn't particularly the social type. She preferred to be alone, or with her one friend.

OOC. I'm not exactly sure what happens next. xP

  • OOC: Hold on, I'll consult my book X'D
Ok, at this point the anthem plays and they are whisked away by Peacemakers. Then they get to talk to their families and friends. Oh, and they also recieve one thing from their district as a token. Katniss's was her mockingjay pin. Then they get sent to the Capitol for training.
IC: Hawk reached forward and gave Kinney's hand a solid shake, a broad, charming smile on his lips. He knew almost as much about the games as he did about Eagle, and that was a lot. He knew that the fight for sponcers would be starting any second. Everything he did would be recorded or seen. As Peacekeepers surrounded him and Kinney, he waved at the crowd, flashing another over joyed grin.

  • OOC. Haha!!! :D And thanks, that really... really helps! :)

    IC.
"Happy Hunger Games. And may the odds be ever in your favor!"

The Peacekeepers came and surrounded Kinnley and Hawk. She watched as he waved to the crowd. She knew she should've done the same, but it was hard for her to fake excitement and joy about the whole situation.
    -
Later, Kinnley's best friend, Merelle came to see her. They immediately embraced each other in a big bear hug. Both of their eyes were filled with tears.
"You can win this, Kinnley," Merelle whispered, choking on the lump in her throat.
Kinnley sniffed and wiped the tears out of her eyes. She let go of her friend and looked her in the eye. "I'll try." She nodded at her.
Merelle and her family was basically the only family Kinnley had. Kinnley's parents died when she was young, and she had no siblings. Merelle's family took her under their wing until she could live by herself. But she still stayed at Merelle's often.

  • Hawk smiled as Eagle walked in, a small frown on his face. They hugged breafly (Spelling?). "You know you're going to die, right?" Eagle said, chuckling just a hint.
"I guessed you would say that."
Eagle sighed and pushed Hawk back, digging through one of his pockets. He held something small in his hands and pressed it into Hawk's hand. It was a silver coin with a hawk and an eagle, each holding a different weapon. The hawk, a knife and an arrow for the Eagle. It had a purple ribbon, turning it into medal. Hawk smiled a hint and hugged Eagle again. A Peacemaker came and knocked before taking Eagle away and leaving him alone once more.
