  • Violetblossoms blinked. "O-okay...?" She had a mate? And a brother? She remembered what a to-be was - an apprentice, right? - but was wondering if this was all a game. She honestly knew none of these cats, or at least she didn't think she did. "What's...my name?" she asked, brow furrowed.

  • Owlsong threw a furious glare at Night. "It’s my job to tell cats whether they have amnesia or not, to-be," she said, tailtip twitching in annoyance. Then she looked back at Violetblossoms. "Like this one said, you have amnesia. I'm Owlsong, the healer, and as this one also said, you have a head injury, more than likely a severe concussion, which can cause amnesia. There is also a possibility that your spine may have been shifted when you hit your head, which means you may suffer temporary paralysis. I'm going to try and see whether or not you are paralyzed."

Moving away about six inches, to give the cat room, she said: "I need you to very slowly move your tail, and then proceed to move each leg. Do not move your head."

(OOC: If you want to paralyze her [it's possible, if she hit her head hard enough], she'd probably have to go through a few moons of therapy and live under close supervision, added onto what she'll have to go through to remember everything she forgot.)

  • OOC || I'm tempted..so..tempted...-succumbs to temptation-

BIC || Violetblossoms blinked at her own name. She wasn't sure what the Tribe of Many Storms was, but she now knew she lived with them. Upon hearing Owlsong's words, she tried moving her tail. Wait...what tail? She couldn't feel anything past her midsection, just her head and front paws, which she moved a bit
"I don't feel anything." she whimpered. "Is it moving?"

  • Lightrain's eyes widened in disbelief as Violetblossoms wondered at who they were, where she was, and who she was. "You really don't know? You don't remember?" She was not pretending -- there was no hint of a smile in her confused face, no lie in her distressed voice, only disorientation and honesty. And it got worse -- she was possibly paralyzed, albeit temporarily.

Breezefeather did likewise, jaw dropping slightly, at Violetblossoms' obvious questions. He knew the answers, but he looked for a different kind of answer from Owlsong, glancing up at her with a bewildered expression. He was further taken aback with the explanation came from another mouth. "Amnesia?" he repeated, his utterance barely a whisper. Then, Owlsong spoke, addling him even more. "Paralyzed?" Then, as the sight of her limp legs, unmoving despite her efforts, he understood, and with that knowledge, came horror.

  • Owlsong nodded curtly to confirm that both of Breezefeather's words were correct. "She'll need moons of therapy before she's back in fighting condition." Looking down toward Violetblossoms, she added: "It will be a great challenge for you."

Though she wasn't willing to admit it, it would also be a challenge for Owlsong herself. She'd learned a bit about how to handle paralysis from her mentor, but not much, as paralysis was in fact quite rare. She'd have to research herbs herself, unless she had to find help in the Clans, which she'd do if it was absolutely necessary. She'd never lose a patient if she could help it, no matter how serious the injury.

  • ooc: Bringing in someone, kay?

ic: Bright, scared to face them again, lead Hyenapaw to the area of the accident. She wanted to stay as far from Lightrain as possible, but this was not her idea. He's the one who suggested they do this. In fact, she never really wanted to tell the to-be what had happened. But you are trying to be nice, now. She told herself, looking behind her to see if he was following. Stay calm and if he speaks to you, don't shake and stutter! Bright bit her lip, sitting down near the tree.

  • Hyenapaw huffed as he ran after Bright, never one to be good at athletics. Finally! he shouted in his head when he saw the calico to-be stop, but he didn't have time to catch his breath or let his hearbeat slow down, he had to help his friend. "H-Hey," the pale gray and brown tom cat greeted the group of cats, steadying his breathing. "I would like to speak to Lightrain?" he meowed, trying hard to keep his voice from breaking up in his usual awkward stutter.

The undersized to-be tossed a glance at Bright and twitched an ear at Owlsong, trying to subtly tell the other to-be to ask Owlsong if she could help. Don't forget to talk to Violetblossoms! Be caring not scary! Hyenapaw hoped silently that his plan to get Bright back on Lightrain's good side would work.

  • Bright nodded and went over to Violetblossoms. "C-can I help y-you with anything?" She asked, looking at Owlsong.

  • Lightrain looked up in surprise at his name. He considered declining, but he was insanely curious about what Hyenapaw had to say. "I'll be right back," he meowed to Violetblossoms, before walking several paces away, so they could talk in confidence.

  • Hyenapaw backed up a little bit and gave a friendly smile to Lightrain before he began. "Bright knows she messed up earlier, but she doesn't want you t-t-to be mad at her," the undersized to-be held back an aggravated sigh when he stuttered, "She wants to be your friend again and wants to help with your s-sister." He drew in a deep breath, he wasn't sure what this tom was thinking, but Hyenapaw really hoped that what he was about to say would help his friend. "Everyone deserves another chance and nobody is to mean for forgiveness," he mewed, lowering his voice signifcantly, and added, noting how the calico had been relatively patient with his nosiness, "Bright has already gotten better as far as her temper. She really is tr-trying... For you." The gray and brown tom stood, trying not to shake in anticipation as he waited for the bigger tom's reply.

  • Lightrain sighed. "Yes, I know. I would have gone after her, but, as you can see, I'm pretty busy at the moment." He gestured to his confused and paralyzed sister.

  • "Oh? Well that's gr-great!" Hyenapaw shouted, without thinking. Then, shocked embarassment entered his wide, yellow gaze. "I-I m-mean that your not mad at Bright... not that y-your sister is..." he stumbled clumsily over his words. He felt really dumb, now and decided to simply smile innocently at the other tom. "W-well, I-I guess, I should go...I really hope your sister will be alright," he meowed shyly, his wide eyes glimmering with sympathy. Normally, he would have tried to help out, but he had already made himself look pretty foolish, and didn't want to get in the way with already so many cats around.

  • Hyenapaw dipped his head and waved his tail in good-bye at Bright before turning around and heading back too do what ever he had come out of camp to do prior.

    ((Hyenapaw out))

  • Owlsong shook her head at Bright, giving her a rare smile as an apology. She knew that Bright was only trying to help, and was probably very worried, but Owlsong also knew it would be best to do her work unhampered. "No, Bright, but I thank you for... No, wait! I think I do need you to help me with something." She pointed with her tailtip at a large piece of bark that looked as if it had fallen from the rotton log beside it. "See if that piece of bark will stay together. We have to get Violetblossoms back to camp moving her as little as possible."

  • "Just grab it in your teeth and tug it across the ground as far as it will go," Owlsong directed; thinking only that might not be sufficient, she added: "See if Lightrain will lay on it while you do, just to make sure it will hold together once we put more weight on it."

  • Bright looked at Lightrain, the, for the first time since she got back. Nothing shone in her eyes...just plain emptiness. "Alright. Come on, Lightrain, you heard her." It wasn't neccessarily an order by her, it was an order by Owlsong that she was just enforcing,
