Jay looked back at her.

She nodded silently and trudged off into the thickening snow. "Keep close, you can easily get lost in conditions like these...." She said, through a mouthful of fur.
-
Jay walked in between the two she-cats
-
After what seemed like ages they finally came to a huge cave. "Come but be quiet...." She said before disappearing into the darkness.
-
Jay followed quietly.
-
Soon they came into the main part of the cave, it was massive. Smoke gently placed the kit down. A pretty silver tabby trotted passed. "Water, please take this kit to Moon." Smoke asked the she-cat. The she-cat dipped her head and then saw the new comers, she looked at them, frightened and then back at Smoke. "I will tell the tribe soon, now just do as I told you." Smoke said, comforting the she-cat.
-
Jay shuffled his paws.
-
Water picked up the kit and bounded off. Smoke turned to Jay. "She's is a newly made kit-mother, she'll be a fine mother to Dew...." Smoke said and walked over to a giant rock in the middle of the main part in the huge cave. "Tribe Of Midnight Stars, join me at Starlit rock for a tribe meeting!" Smoke yowled.
-
Jay stood tall
-
Cats flooded into the main cave, there mottled coats ranging from grey to brown, blended into the walls of the cave. Smoke and Jay stood out from the rest as their coats were black. "Cats, today we have 3 new members of our tribe!" She said, puffing out her chest. "They come from a far off place, where the clan cats roam..." There were a few gasps and muffled whispers. A battle scared brown tabby tom spoke up. "You bring clan cats to tribal cats, their ways are no of our own, they will never learn. Their blood will ruin our blood lines!" He yowled, other cats started to whisper again. "Your views Wolf are taken into account but we must remember our own ways, any cat that seeks refuge is welcome, or have you forgotten wolf? They are as much of the tribe of endless hunting as we, they will learn fast!" Smoke looked at Wolf. "But they don't even believe in the tribe of endless hunting!" He cried out. "Then we will teach them!" Smoke said and flicked her tail, silencing the angry tom. "Now, I would like to introduce you to Song Of the Blue Jay, Spirit That Swims In Creek and Dew That Hangs On Fern..." Smoke said looking at the new tribe members.
-
Creek purred and pressed against Jay, taking comfort from his touch.
-
Jay puffed out his chest fur.
-
The tribe cats cheered. "Please make sure you make them fell welcome!" Smoke said and with a flick of her tail, the meeting had ended. The cats dispersed and as they did, Wolf glared at the clan cats. Smoke padded to her new tribe members. "Jay I would like to appoint you as cave guard..." She turned to Creek. "And you will be prey hunter..." With that Smoke turned around and flicked her tail, asking the cats to follow.
-
Jay padded after her. "What do cave gauards do besides gaurd the cave?"
-
Smoke turned and looked at Jay. "Just because they are called a cave guard doesn't mean they guard the cave..." She sat down in front of him. "A cave guard does things like what you call a border patrol and other duties. Our cave guards are like your warriors, it's just cave guards don't hunt and you can only be chosen to be a cave guard if you a strong." She looked at him.
-
Jay nodded. "I understand. So when will Dew be an apprentice, I mean whatever you tribe cats call an apprentice.
-
Smoke laughed softy, it was the first time she had ever laughed to Jay... "Our apprentices as you call them, are called to-be's." Smoke looked at Jay. "Do you want to be her teacher?" Smoke asked gently.
-
"I think you should let a tribe cat be her mentor." He nodded to Wolf
-
Wolf glared at Jay. "Clan cat filth..." He hissed under his breath.
Smoke looked at Jay. "Wolf has very strong feelings about clan cats, I don't think he'll appreciate teaching a clan cat...." Smoke looked at Wolf sadly. "I just wish there was some cat to soften his heart..."
-
"Well anyone that is pure hearted."
