Emeraldflower took marigold from the den. "Don't ask me how I know this stuff, I just do..." she said, chewing the marigold into a pulp. She smeared it on his eye and thought for a moment. "Eyes... Eyes... What helps eyes..."

he touched his eye carefully"ouch!it hurts!"he groaned

She went into the medicine den and came out with a sweet smelling leaves. She chewed it and applied it to his eye. "Careful," she mewed gently. "We don't want it to get infected."
