  • Sneezepaw sat down again and kept poking his flower, whispering "Bubuh" to himself over and over. He looked at Wintertail's flower. He looked back up at her as if to say, "No other cat can see them, can they?" He wanted to say Fire, but he couldn't. So he just repeated Bubble.

  • She nodded.no one can see them but us. She looked down at Sneezepaw. She pushed the fower in front of him with her good paw. "Sneezepaw, can you say fire? F-I-R-E?" She whispered. She mouthed the word 'fire' a few times so he would understand.

  • "Ffff..." Sneezepaw concentrated hard. "Fuuhiyah. Fiyah." He looked up at the older cat, eyes shining. "Fiyah! Bubuh, fiyah!"

  • Wintertail was delighted. Sneezepaw was talking! Maybe he could say lightning...Its a big word..."Sneezepaw," She pushed the yellow flower to him." Can you say lightning? L-I-G-H-T. N-I-N-G. Lightning." Mistpaw heard Waterlily call her. "I got to go. A cat fell into some oil a twoleg left out." She ran off.

  • Sneezepaw watched Wintertail go. Then he looked at the yellow flower. Lightning was a big word. "Lllll.... Luh.... Luuuuh..." But however hard Sneezepaw tried, he could not say it. He sighed, dissapointed.

  • Brushtail chewed and licked himself. He was happy now that Wintertail and Sneezepaw were alright.

  • OOC: srry i was offline i went to my moms and i didnt want to type from wii

IC: "IT's ok Sneezepaw you can do it. We'll practice ok? Ready? L...IGHT...NING."

  • Wintertail relized that it was becoming dark. I hope they find that kit in time..."Sneezepaw It's getting late, why don't you go to the apprentice den and get some sleep. We'll work on this tomorrow." She curled up and went to sleep.

  • Sneezepaw nodded and got up, realising how tired he was. He stumbled out of the medicine den, then glanced at the nursery. The last time he'd slept there was half a moon ago when he'd had a nightmare. The queens always welcomed him. They fussed over him like he was the most precious thing in the forest, though Sneezepaw didn't really see why. He was only an apprentice.
He decided he would sleep in there tonight. He stumbled over to it and peeped in.

Windwistle looked at the sky. "It's late," he meowed. He didn't have to say more- his two young companions dropped to the ground and slept instantly.
He purred and curled around their small bodies, and went to sleep himself.

  • Wintertail tosed and turned but could not sleep. She had to make sure her kit was ok. She lifted her paw ever so gently and limped out of the medicine den. She found a spool of yarn and used it as a paw rester. she went into the woods to looke for her kit.

  • Brushtail woke up with a start. He left the den and saw Wintertail. He tilted his head and followed her.

  • She ent by where the rotting cat corpse was. Im sorry... She padded into the pushes and found smaller blood spots. The kits... The image of thegruesome meal flashed in her head. She shook her head and looked around. she saw some bushes and walked through them. "Hello? Is anyone there?" She heard a faint meweling and dove down the hole. Her paw scraped the sides and she mewed in agony. She grabbed the freezing kit b its scruff. She pulled the kit out turned around and saw Brushtail. "Take him...Please save him..." She padded to her wheel and followed Brushtail back to camp.

  • Brushtail held the kit carefully. He laid it down on a patch of grass in the med den and licked it. Then he went back to help Wintertail.

  • Wintertail got up and tried to walk back to the camp. She barely placed her paw down and screeched in pain.

  • Brushtail rushed up to her and pressed against her side. He purred comfortingly as he helped her.
