Misty sat aside the ship known as home to the many members of The Seaside. She sat peacefully, calm eyes sweeping the camp as she watched cats go about their daily duties. What a peaceful day. She thought idly as she continued to watch. Nobody had yet needed her, nothing yet had gone wrong, it was, so far, a peaceful, average day. One to be cherished, but not one to be expected; you never know what may happen. Storms, rogues, anything; you'd be surprised what made it's way to their little home.

Low tide was approaching, but there was enough food at camp right now hunting wasn't needed, though it was always good to have extra. She'd leave that decision, however, to the First Mate; it wasn't her call if she didn't want to make it.

Content with the way things were on this day, she lay down on her stomach, resting her head on her paws. She was ready to get up and take action if it was needed, but she knew it was unlikely. She kept herself from falling asleep, though, no matter how bad she wanted to. If she was needed, she wanted to be ready and on guard, fully alert, even if she needed the rest, she was going to refuse it. She thought idle thoughts as the day went on, waiting until she was needed, contently watching the members of The Seaside go about their daily duties.

  • His soft sea green eyes opened, the dreams he was having just moments ago already forgotten. Roman, or Roe as he liked to be called, uncurled from his body and stretched out his front and back legs. A yawn threatened to creep out of his maw, and he couldn't help but stretch his mouth open and let the slight noise come out and be carried along but the breeze that ruffled his dark reddish brown fur.

The fighter apprentice lifted his body with some ease, but a bit of an ache from over working himself the other day. Carrying out the small jobs considering he was the only free apprentice so far as he knew, he took on what he thought was important at that time and moment. And since no one needed him for training yesterday... he went around asking to help any cat who would want it. Right now though? All he was gonna do was just relax untill he was needed, but in the next few moments if no one got him. He planned on doing what he did yesterday and asking if anyone needed help.

  • A spotted and striped cat sat facing the waves. It looked down at her reflection, and it smiled. Ever since hearing that she was the second mate, she calmed down her urges to fight. Life is perfect. She'd think now and again, happy that it was. Hostile got up, waved her paw in the water, creating dainty ripples. Her fur blew in the faint breeze, and she welcomed it too her face. Hostile waded into the water at that moment, hoping to catch some prey.

The small calico opened her green orbs. She squinted to the sudden sun shine. Then quickly stood on her paws, the shadows hiding her orbs. Looking at the exited, she padded out. She looked out at the sea side she other cats already getting up. Grinning she looked over to the rising sun. Smiling she padding to the shore and laid down. Mink wasn't quiet hungry, enough so she could lay down and look at the beautiful sight.

  • "Hello, Mink." Hostile smiled, seeing the short calico. Her paw was pulled out of the water, and it came out empty. The sun shone on her emerald eyes, they were cleared of clouds of sadness and anger, not what she usually was. She gave up hunting and waded carefully out of the water, Hostile's fur soaking, cooling her down from the sun's warm rays. Hostile shook, water dripped from her pelt, creating a puddle of water under-paw. She waited for Mink to answer, politely smiling at the apprentice.

Mink smiled as the older cat greeted her. She dipped her head replied back. "Hello, Hostile. Lovely morning, right?". She truly did think it was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining, the seaguls were...quiet. The seagulls were a pet peeve to the calico. They were always making nosie while she was collecting herbs.

Deciding to stop being anti-social like, Misty got up and padded over to the group of cats, greeting them all with a nod. "How's everyone doing?" She asked, settling down on her haunches, giving her chest a quick lick to flatten down any fur that had sprung up while she was lying down.

She too noticed the quietness that surrounded them. Perhaps a terrible storm was near... Or maybe the birds had found a good fishing spot, too far away to be heard. Hoping for the latter, she turned her attention back to the cats in front of her. "Herb stock okay?" She asked the Medicine cat apprentice, and turning to Hostile, she asked, "Prey all right?" An attempt to make conversation, she tried her best to look pleasant and alert, though she was rather irritable and tired today; but she had to keep the cats of The Seaside under control. An unstable leader meant an unstable clan.

Mink shrruged "The herbs are fine, just a tad bit low" She mewed. Then that gave her an idea. "Is it fine if I collect some herbs?" she asked. She already knew the she-cat was going to allow her.

  • Hostile smiled at the Captain. "Prey is lush, Misty. It was just unlucky that I missed while hunting." She admitted, before turning her attention to Mink. Hostile waited for Misty to say something, itching her ear. What is wrong with everyone? It's so quiet! She thought, looking at the silent cats with a hint of suspicion. "Why is everybody all so quiet?" Hostile asked, deep green eyes clouded back like usual.

  • A blank mind was all Kida had at the moment. Sitting at the edge of the boat, and peering out across the horizon. Blinking back sleep, she fought back the urge to jump into the water, instead dipping her paw steadily into it and waving her paw back and forth, slightly amused by the ripples it created, little waves dancing away from the source of the splash.

  • Blinking the sunlight out of her eyes, Ignite stretched her legs, and padded out of the nursery. The odd-looking kit was determined to have a warrior take her out to explore. Her amber gaze swept past the older cats as she wondered whom to ask. It finally settled on a apprentice with reddish brown fur who didn't seem to be doing anything. Ignite tried to sleek down her fur as she padded up to him. "Will you take me out of camp?" the tabby finally asked after a long moment of hesitation.

  • [justify][font=times][size=8]"I don't know." Misty admitted to Hostile. "But it's quite out of character for this place..." She murmured. "But I suppose it'll pass, and those blasted birds will be back soon." Turning to the Medicine Cat Apprentice, she replied to her, "Of course you can, you don't need my permission to go out and get herbs." She said with a slight smile. "Jut make sure you're back before the tide." She always reminded cats of this, hating to have to make them swim over; which only some could do. Others just had to wait out on the sand all night or day, And she didn't want Mink to have to do that.

  • Standing up and stretching her legs, she padded over to where the captain was sitting. Her eyes twinkled, a mischievous smile and a flick of her torn ear. "Morning!" hoping to take part in some form of conversation, she sat down, erie silence washing over her like a sheet of falling water.

The calico smiled as she bounced away. Then looking around for any damp spaces, she found an odd looking shelter. Shrugging she crawled inside the small entrance. The place was damp and sunny, perfect for herbs to grow. She made her way to a sun patch were she found a stock of coltsfoot. "This is great!" she announced to herself as she plucked them out of the ground.

Putting each herb she had found into a pile she grinned in a satisfied finding. She had found only two more different herbs, but many of them. "So, coltsfoot, feverfew and parsley" she mewed. She carried the many herbs back to camp and put them in Luna's den.

  • [justify][font=times][size=8]Misty watched with amusement in her eyes as the young cat happily ran across to shore. Turning to the cat who'd come aside her, she mewed, "Good Morning, Kida." with a bit of cheeriness in her voice. "How are you today?" She asked. Misty now felt strange... this silence had lasted too long. It was pretty obvious something was going to happen, be it a storm or something worse. Perhaps she shouldn't have let the Medicine Cat Apprentice offshore. Yet, if it was nothing, she didn't want to cause panic or alarm... She decided to wait, see if there were any more signs, though she could've sworn it'd gotten progressively cooler throughout the morning.

  • A broad smiled stretched across her face. "Very good." She dipped her head to Misty, a strange calm seemed to wash over her. She brought it back up, suddenly serious. "Something's wrong...." She whispered quietly, her tone seemingly a warning.

    {ooc: might i ask what is going to happen?}

  • [justify][font=times][size=8]ooc; I have no idea xD. I was just going with it until I thought of something, but lets just go with a big storm.

ic; "I'm sure everything's fine." She mewed, though she could tell the skies were beginning to darken. It's just my imagination. She told herself with a slight shake of her head. But as she turned her head to the side, she caught a glimpse of what lay ahead. Dark, ominous looking storm clouds had broken the horizon on the far side of the ocean, and were heading this way. "Maybe... maybe it's just going to rain a bit." She said, trying to more or less convince herself too; but, it always rained, quite often, too.

But, little did she know how much of an understatement she'd made.

Smiling with her effort, she decide to go to the shelter to pick some more. Looking up at the sky, the young apprentice notice storm clouds were setting. Eh, I will be back before it rains, and even, I could stay at the shelter until it passes. she thought, padding off in the east direction.

When she arrived there, she could hear the tiny droplets of water coming down already. Mink sighed and shook her head, scanning the area for any herbs.

  • OOC: What IS going on? I'm like... So confused...

IC: Hostile waited for a minute, looking up at the clouds. "Looks more like a thunderstorm." She meowed, flicking her striped/spotted tail. "I hope Mink will be back before it gets worse." She then quickly added. Her deep green eyes back on Misty, and the others. Will there be a storm? She thought, feeling the light droplets on her pelt. Great! It's only spitting now, but it'll get heavier! With that she turned, watching the waves crash against the rocks, and boat. When she saw the clouds the second time, she shook her head and muttered: Oh no!

  • Kida nodded. "Hostile's right. I dont think it will be just a 'little rain,'" she observed. The sky darkened around her, to her suprise. "This can't be good." She muttered quietly, looking down at her paws and looking at them as if that was all she cared about for the moment.
