Marcie entered the common room, a book of charms and jinxes in one hand.

Marcie went straight over to a chair in the corner, people stepping out of the way for her, and sat down, opening her book.

She started reading her book, ignoring everyone around her. Maybe she'd practice one of the jinxes on a first-year later.

Eventually Marcie put her book down, bored, as she glanced around and tried to think of something to do.

Marcie looked over at James as he got up with dark blue eyes.

Marcie tok out her wand and practiced a summoning charm under her breath, one she'd had trouble with. A lot.

"Accio book," She muttered under her breath, making her charm book move a few centimeters, and then stop. Se sighed, trying again. And again. It finally flew all the way to her, and she smiled slightly.
