Oceanpaw's Fishing training

    Frozenheart and Oceanpaw swim to a small island in the center of the lake. Oceanpaw notices that the clear water is brimming with tasty-looking fish.

    "We have come here to fish. As you can see, this little island spot is swimming with fish. Ha ha ha. Get it? It's pretty simple to fish. First of all, find a fish. Keep your eyes on it. Don't let it swim away. Once you feel ready, quickly shoot your paws into the water. The most important thing is you have to have good aim at the fish. Once it is in your paws, drop it on land and kill it by biting it or clawing it. Now you can try it on your own" says Frozenheart.

    OOC: This site uses the Forest Territory so there's no lake unless you are in another clan that lives beside a lake, if you needed to know.


    Splashstare was standing at the edge of the river downstream waiting patiently for a fish.

    She stayed near Oceanpaw and Frozenheart. It was always nice to watch the apprentices train. Splashstare doesn't have one herself but she has always wanted one of her own.

    Frozenheart turned around and noticed another cat behind him. "Oh, hello, Splashstare." he said. "Looking for an apprentice? You are always welcome to help me and Oceanpaw."

    Splashstare nodded "Your doing fine" she smiled. "Oceanpaw's got great form. Try to keep your shadow off the water though. It will scare this fish". She walked downstream to fish there but she was still Within earshot of Oceanpaw and Frozenheart.

    "Ok, thanks for the tip," Oceanpaw mewed. She shot her paw into the water and scooped a fish out. She killed it with a bite to the head.

    Great job, Oceanpaw. That was a great catch. Remember, you don't get to eat it yourself, instead you take it to the freshkill pile for someone from the Clan to eat.

    "Congratulations"! Called Splashstare. "You caught your first fish"! And as she said it a shadowy figure swam in the water below her. She scooped it out and bit it's head. She walked over to Frozenheart. "Let's catch a few more then return to camp". She meowed. "I'm sure the queens would like some tasty fish".

    "Yeah. And don't forget, the more we catch, the more we eventually get to eat because once the queens and elders eat enough, us warriors and apprentices get to eat." says Frozenheart, while catching his own fish.

    "Great!" Oceanpaw mewed. "I'll catch so many fish, there won't be room in the fresh-kill pile!" She scooped another fish.

    OK Oceanpaw, you can catch some more fish, but we should leave and go back to camp. It's getting dark. And don't forget to take all of your freshkill with you.

    "Sure thing, Frozenheart," Oceanpaw mewed, picking up her kills. She followed Frozenheart back to camp.

    Splashstare caught two more fish and added it to her pile. "We have alot of fish". She called from downstream. "Lets go back to camp. It's getting dark and we might need to make multiple trips to bring all the fish back to camp".

    Are you coming, Splashstare? The fishing training is over for now. We have to return to the camp. Oceanpaw, you did great for your first try. Your fishing skills are incredible, which is great because all RiverClan really eats is mostly fish.

    Splashstare picked up half of her pile and started walking towards camp with FRozenheart and Oceanpaw. She hoped that no predator would steal her other half. She shivered at the idea of a fox entering Riverclan territory.
