  • Quartzkit struggled though the deep snow, the soft pads on his feet were frozen, snow covered his fluffy silver pelt. Frozen tears ran from his golden eyes and stuck to his face his father was just killed by two Bloodclan cats, his mother died only days earlier from a complicated birthing of her second litter. Quartzkit sighed as he watched the snow fall from the sky, his father had just taken him for a quick hunting lesson that is when the cats attacked, and all Quartzkit could do was run, he had ran so far that he didn't even know the way back to the clan he lived in with his parents, but what was the point they were both dead and only memories would haunt him.

  • Humming, Blueparadise saw no real reason to be down. The bids were singing, and the sun beat down - yet not uncomfortably - on her pelt. Switching her hum for a whistle, it arubtly stopped when she heard, what she thought, were pouncing footsteps. " Hello? "

  • [font=georgia]"What is it?" Reflectionsong mewed to Blueparadise as she came over, looking at where the silver tabby's attention seemed to be.

  • " Oh! Mornin' Reflex, " Came the jolly, if quiet, call to the cat. Twitching her gaze back to where the sound seemed to be coming from, the female carefully drew back to Reflectionsongs side. " Seems as if someones in the bushes. . . "

  • [font=georgia]"Let me take a look," Reflectionsong mewed, walking forwards to examine the undergrowth.

What she found was yes, another kit all by itself. Which inconsiderate, horrible mother would leave their kits all alone? It was an awful thing to do. They could at least give their kits to another ueen to raise if they couldn't manage.
"Ahem, it's another kit." The silver torbie called over to Blueparadise without turning her head.

  • Quartzkit looked up at the shecat "You won't eat me right?" he squeaked, his father told him to be wary of strange cats. And, since the Blood clan cats attacked and killed his father he was suspicious of every other cat.

  • [font=georgia]Ah, even Reflectionsong had to admit that was kind of cute.
"Of course I won't eat you. I'm strictly against cannibalism." She meowed, narrowing her eyes but letting a grin spread across her face.
"How long have you been here? You must be freezing."

  • Redpaw crouched in a tree, completely focused on a plump squirrel dozing off on a branch. Alright, move slow, check. Silence your breath, check. Now get ready... He tried remembering everything he was taught during training, but in the process, forgot the most crucial part... His footing. "Whoa... No!!" He yelped falling off the slippery branch into a snow bank below. "Starclan help me..." He thought out loud, "I'm hopeless." Just then, he heard a few familiar voices not far off and decided to investigate. Completely covered in powdery snow, he came up to two warriors. "Oh, hello. Didn't mean to interrupt anything." he meowed, dipping his head respectfully.

  • [font=georgia]Reflectionsong glanced up to look at the apprentice as he arrived.
"No." She replied, shaking her head.

  • Redpaw took a couple paces back and shook himself off. "Too much snow from the last storm..." He complained before finally catching scent of the kit. "Oh?" He purred, smiling warmly. "A kit, huh." He went up and sniffed the small bundle of fur. "Kind of far from home aren't you?"

  • Indeed, it was cute. Slowly peeking over Relfectionsongs shoulder, Blueparadise felt as if the kit might be trapped in. It musn't be nice, y'know, being over crowded by three large cats. " Sweetie? " Blue called in her usual and highly persausive voice. " Why don't you come out so we can have a look at you? Do you know where your mamy is? "

  • Quartzkit looked at all the cats that surrounded him, it felt awkward but he stepped out from the bushes his fluffy grey pelt was covered with clumps of snow. "My mother, is dead only my father..." he stopped mid sentence as he felt tears come to his eyes "my father......" he tried to explain what happened but couldn't speak though the tears

  • Redpaw looked to Blueparadise with a questioning expression. "Should we take him home with us?" he whispered, not knowing how to deal with this type of situation.

  • [font=georgia]Reflectionsong stepped back, giving the kit more room and looked at Redpaw.
"Of course. The warrior code states that we must help a kit no matter where it's from. This kit seems to be on it's own, so we'll help it by taking it back." She meowed, nodding.
Possibly even an orphan. She almost said that last bit, but she didn't.

  • Nodding to Reflectionsongs words, and without glancing at Redpaw, the female silver tabby dipped her head again. " Indeed, if this kit can't find it's mother - and I don't think the mother is looking for it - then we should take it back to Snowclan. "

  • "I understand." Redpaw mewed, just now understanding the extent of the hardships the kit must have endured. So young, and already such an unfair turn of events... His mind was clouded with pain, easily readable through his eyes. He would have liked nothing more than to know the whole story behind the kit's journey, but now wasn't the time, nor place.

  • [font=georgia]Reflectionsong nodded, and crouched down to talk to the kit.
"What's your name? Do you know where you're from?" As soon as that was out the way she'd take the young feline back to the nursery.
