  • The sky was turning orange as the sun raised. Bumblenose could feel the sunshine going through the den. He yawned.

  • Mockingbirdstorm wakes up, blinking the sunshine out of her eyes. She stretches and arches her back, her paws trembling from the effort. She sits up and sits down, beginning to wash. She licks her white left paw and washes her face with it.

  • Lazily, Bumblenose sat up. Just like Mockingbirdstorm, he began to wash. He thought her name was different for a RiverClan cat, but he didn't care. She was the best friend any cat could have.

  • Mockingbirdstorm stops washing and scents the air, flicking her ears in Bumblenose's direction. She thought of how good a friend he was. She could consult to everything with him. She purrs as the sun warms her fur.

  • Bumblenose gave a quick scratch in his ear with the foot. He purred as he saw Mockingbirdstorm. "Good morning, Mockingbirdstorm."

  • "Not much. I might go hunting soon. Do you want to come with me?" She asks, washing the base of her tail.

  • Mockingbirdstorm stands and leads the way out of the camp. Once out of camp she breaks into a run towards the river. Once she gets there she stops.

  • Brokenlove was hunting nearby, her bright amber eyes focused on the fish's shadow in the river. The RiverClan warrior was about to hit it out of the water when a new scent hit her nose. She glanced up and saw two other RiverClan warriors, neither of whom she was familiar with. The silver tabby slowly stood up, her fish momentarily forgotten. She was a naturally hostile cat, and so she had some trouble making friends. Perhaps I can change that? She thought hopefully as she padded towards her clanmates.

"Hello," she called out, an anxious feeling spreading through her stomach.

  • Brokenlove smiled awkwardly. "Oh, they're, um...good!" She had never been one for small talk, and was at a loss for what to say next. "It's a beautiful day, yeah?" she added, desperately trying to remember tidbits of conversations she had overheard.

  • "It surely is..." Bublenose looked around and then accidentally glanced at Mockingbirdstorm. Very beautiful. He thought, before looking away quickly. "Er, anyone wants to catch fish?"

  • His glance at Mockingbirdstorm didn't go unnoticed by Brokenlove, who grinned when she saw it. The silver tabby wasn't one for romance herself, but seeing others getting involved in it was always nice. "That sounds lovely. It's a perfect day for fishing."

  • Bumblenose looked down at the river. He couldn't spot too many fish, but as one came closer, he tried to catch it, but slipped and nearly fell, missing the fish. Mouse-dung!

  • "Yes, it is. I scent a tinge of rain on the way too." She says, getting the hint of Brokenlove trying to pick up the conversation.

  • "Well, I hope it gets here soon. It's been an awfully dry greenleaf," Brokenlove mewed as she peered into the river. "Summer rains are always lovely." She tried to hold back her laughter when Bumblenose almost fell in, and accidentally let out a loud snort. She quickly covered it with an awkward cough, not wanting to seem rude around these cats that could possibly become her first real friends.
