    she hissed. If she lost Ivypaw on her first time out of camp than Bearstar surely wouldn't appreciate that.

    As much as Tortoiseleaf was angry that Ivypaw had run off she remembered when she was ana pparentice age in the mountains and also running off from her mother. " don't worry it's fine", she reasurred Ivypaw. " It's your first day as an apprentice so of course you'd like to explore just next time ask me first alright"? she took a deep breath " Why don't we go patrol the Riverclan boarder, it'll give us a chance to see some of the territory",

    Tortoiseleaf padded on towards the boarder with Ivypaw at her side. Just when they were about to approach the boarder she heard a rustle in the woods. " Mouse"! she whispered, she turned to Ivypaw. " Although Riverclan doesn't hunt mouse it's always useful to know how", she said " Now watch"!Tortoiselaf dropped into a hunters crouch and slowly crept towards the mouse. She leaped and grabbed the mouse, giving it a killing bite and padding back to Ivypaw.
