• [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px dashed white; width: 300px; text-align: justify; font-family: calibri; font-size: 7.5pt]Everyone had finally stopped singing and dancing and whatever the hǝll they did. Barely pausing to clap for the last performance, Jasper hurried off to his dorm after putting his borrowed instruments away backstage. He was surprised to see the halls so void of life, but figured everyone else was still all in the auditorium chit-chatting away. Pfft, losers.

Ugh, this place was so lame. he thought, trying not to wince at the plainless of the whole camp. There were hardly any decorations; only with a few musical notes painted on here and there and a couple of posters dotted the otherwise-barren walls.

Aaand to oh, so totally make up for it: the dorms were totally colorless without any style at all. Lovely.

Not paying any attention to the "derp customize your room" note on the door, Jasper flung his bag onto his bed-- the bottom bunk, of course-- and made his way to the bathroom to take a shower. Didn't wanna meet his fans all icky and sweaty, now did he? Ahah, no.

Well, at least these people had the decency to pre-stock the place with soap. But, no towels in sight. Once again, just dandy.

It wasn't like his roommate was a girl or anything, and besides, he hadn't even heard what's-his-face come in the dorm yet. Desperate times call for desperate measures, after all. Jasper scrambled into the bedroom to grab some clothes, but his searching was interrupted by a knock on the door. Eh, oh well.

"Hello roomie," Jasper greeted Adam with a slightly awkward but forever dazzling grin.

Jared knelt in front of Evangeline, giving her a bittersweet smile. He'd loved bringing her here but now it was time to say goodbye and send her home. "But I want to stay here," Angel protested with wide, naive eyes. "I know angel, but it's not a good place for my little princess right now, mmkay? I'll call you every night and I might even be able to come see you and Nan in the hotel, okay? We'll see how things work out." "Where did Evie and Hellent go?" Angel's eyes were on Lyra with this question.

"They...erm..." Lyra's eyes were far away. She looked troubled. Evie had stormed out in a hurry and Hellent's eyes had been dark with concern as she followed. "They're...setting up their room. I'll have them say hello when Jared calls, okay angel?" Evangeline seemed content with this answer. "Okay." And Jared led her out to the waiting car.

    --

When he returned, his face was grim, his hand now startlingly empty without Evangeline's little fingers grasping it. "I should go after them." It was clear that he was referring to Evie and Hellent. " No. I think they need a girl friend. We don't have many, you know." Lyra's face also conveyed foreboding, apprehension. She was intuitive, she knew when her friends were in trouble. "They're my friends too." "Jared, we love you, but you might make things worse right now." "What's that supposed to mean?" His voice now took on a tone of anger. What was she implying? That he was causing friction between his friends? Was he? The thought concerned him. "Nothing. I--I'll take care of it." "You can't keep taking care of everybody by yourself." His tone had softened now. "I can and I will. Just wait here for a while." She didn't allow him to answer before she strode out of the room, exuding an aura of power and confidence. She could really turn up the heat when she wanted to, almost to the point of arrogance. Ly had highs and lows. Days when she felt she was worthless, a bug easily squashed, a butterfly with the wings torn off. And then moments when she felt she was queen of everything. When she was Supreme Empress of the Universe, and she didn't take sh*t from anybody, and you'd better bow down or get out of her way. This was one of those moments. And it was best to be on her side.

She had to check a few dorms before she found her friends. The door was closed but she could hear their voices. Hellent's, shocked and worried. Evie's, despairing and broken. "Knock knock?" she called tentatively, rapping on the door lightly with her knuckles. "It's me. Can I come in?"

Evie did her best to call out a strangled "yes" in response to Hellent. She held the pills in her hand tightly, so as not to accidentally drop them through her violent shaking. When Hellent returned with the water, Evie took it gratefully and placed the pills on her tongue slowly, being extremely careful. She gulped down the water just as she heard a knock on the door, making her jump.

She very nearly choked on the pills but instead forced them down her throat. The water, however was spilled all over the room. When she heard Lyra's voice, she nodded at Hellent to get the door while she grabbed an old shirt from her bag to mop up the water. She was glad it was Lyra though, if it had been Jared--or even worse, Jared with Evangeline--she wouldn't know what she would have done.

ic: The cup was taken from her with a shaky hand; perhaps Evie was settling in shock? Or maybe the cause of her medication was suffocating her and she could just barely move and take it?

Her crystal eyes suddenly flooded with emotion, pleading and begging Evie not to slip away. Hellent couldn't even take care of herself, let alone a whole separate human being suffering from God knows what. "Evie, listen to me." she whispered desperately, though her words were interrupted by a soft knock on the door.

"I'll get that later," the girl muttered to Evie, talking about the water everywhere. Gritting her teeth, Hellent carefully rose to her feet and made her way to the door. Whoever was behind that thing was about to get a face full of fist-- oh, it was Lyra. She sighed in relief and nodded, making room for her friend to enter.

Adam shuffled slightly in his black Vans, his anxiety starting to lower slightly, hearing his roommate moving about inside the dorm. He waited patiently, suddenly straightening once he heard the click of the doorknob opening. He gave a smile to his roommate, feeling his face flush once he saw who it was. Lucky him. Realization hit like a rock once his eyes traveled down-- No no no no no no no! His face blushed a darker red, and he quickly shoved his hands out to slide past him and into the dorm -careful not to touch him-, quickly covering his eyes with one hand.

He cleared his throat once he got safely inside the dorm room, his back facing Jasper so he wouldn't have to see.. All that. He quickly allowed his face to deflush, and his heartbeat to slow. Once those things were checked off the list, the rehearsed list, mind you, he decided to start a conversation?? no matter how awkward the situation was. "Um, Jasper, right?" Pffffft. He knew his name. He just didn't want to seem like.. The freak from last year. Adam stared down at his Vans, suddenly taking the greatest interest in his laces. Aside from Jasper, of course.

Evie didn't answer Hellent as she took her medication, she didn't even hear her. She was starting to slip away, into her own world. The edges of her vision was starting to blur and noise just sounded like unrecognizable static. Of course, that's what the medication was for. By calming her anxiety, it helped Evie to not slip into that void state she was in for so long. She would have to wait for the medication to take affect though, which could take 5 to 10 minutes, sometimes more. Until then, she would just have to wait and suffer.

She didn't hear Hellent say that she would clean up that water either, instead she mopped it up with the shirt until she thought it was good enough. When she did, she set the old shirt down and climbed onto her bed, grabbing her comforter and wrapping it around her. She sat, cross-legged on her bed as she waited for the pills to kick in and the voices got louder.

He simply raised an eyebrow as Adam's pale face blossomed bright red, letting out a small laugh as his roommate whipped a hand up to cover his eyes as he cautiously slid past. It was like he'd never seen a guy before, jeeze. Well, Jasper was used to being around loads of guys in the locker room, but then again this toothpick was probably locked in his room all day on Tumblr or some crap.

    But anyways.

Jasper made his way back to the bathroom to change, duffle bag in hand, 'cause obviously Adam wasn't comfortable with "all that". He heard him call a slightly shaky greeting from the main room. "Yeah, it's Jasper. And you're Adam, right?" Unlike his gummyworm-armed roomie, he had no problem being the "freak from last year".[/fancypost]

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px dashed white; width: 300px; text-align: justify; font-family: calibri; font-size: 7.5pt]Hellent's head twisted back to see the wet t-shirt set aside and Evie wreathed in a comforter on the bed, a distant look drifting in her eyes. She wanted to march right over there and slap some sense into her, even beg on her knees for Evie to snap out of it. She knew that if she dealt with this herself, her friend would be gone in a matter of days-- just another thing to pile up on her list of guilt.

But she wasn't alone-- Lyra was there, too, right? The thought of the tall brunette sticking by her side was calming, and Hellent took a few deep breaths to soothe herself further.

A heartbeat skipped, spirits lifted, and his eyebrows lightly rose in slight surprise. He remembered his name! He remembered my name.. he thought, letting his arm fall once he knew that Jasper was gone. He climbed up on his top bunk, next to his laid out instruments. He removed his precious violin from his bag, beginning to inspect it. "Yeah, I'm Adam." he confirmed, reaching into his bag to retrieve his smooth cloth, beginning to wipe the shiny wood down.

He looked up slightly at the wall, placing his violin down beside him. "You had a really good performance," he commented, his blue eyes casting downwards. Placing his instruments carefully into his bags, he lifted them and placed them beside the beds, then climbing back up on his bed. He stretched, kicking off his Vans, and laying back on the pillow, staring up at the ceiling.

J [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px dashed white; width: 400px; text-align: justify; font-size: 7pt]Jasper got dressed and such, pulling on a pair of jeans and a blue pullover hoodie, yaddy yaddy yah.

He lifted his head at Adam's compliment, a grin overtaking his manly facial features as he opened the door and trotted out. Pfft, well of course he did well. He always had, and wasn't planning on changing that in the future. "Thank yah muchly," Jasper grunted with a sigh, running a hand through his black and blonde hair. Compliments weren't something he was barely granted, so the thank was a bit more rehearsed than sincere. Not that he didn't mean it or anything.

"That violin thing you did was pretty cool." he added, rummaging through his bag in search of who knows what.
