Close in the hedgegrows of her tree sits a tom. He is tall and strong and listens to Jade. I think I may be in love. What am I thinking? A kittypet please! He stands up and peers around the bush. There standing elegantly in the clearing is the most beautiful and graceful she-cat he's ever seen. A deep purr rumbles up from the back of the warriors' throat. Startled and scared she'll hear it he meows.

She eyes the hedges cautiously, wary of the stories her Kittypet friends have told her of the wild, bone-eating cats.

He shrinks back shyly. Ad then takes a deep breath and pads forward. "Sorry that was me."

He shrinks back shyly. Ad then takes a deep breath and pads forward. "Sorry that was me."Jade slowly approaches the handsome Tom looking back at her, her ears pricked forward and her glassy blue eyes shining with curiosity. She slowly circles him, taking in his deep blue eyes, shining like the midnight sky, and his striped silver fur. Jade takes a whif of his scent, smelling off the forest, and pine trees and water. "You've been here before," she says at last. "I recognize your scent." Jade wraps her striped tail around small paws, losing all fear of the tom. "Your name?" she asks, ears pricked towards the Tom.
-
"My name is Aster. I have lived in these woods my whole life. But never before have I seen a more gorgeous she-cat in these woods. And your name?" He sits down and begins to watch her intently.

He sits down and begins to watch her intently."My name is Jade," the young energetic she-cat feels for once in her life, nervous and embarrassed. "I live over there," Jade nods to a pleasant brick house behind her. The she-cat takes a cautious step closer to Aster. "Where are your house-folk, Aster?" Jade lifts one paw and smooths down her ruffled silver fur.
-
He tilts his head to one side,"Waht is a housefolk as you said?" He stood and walked over to the fence that seperated him and Jade's house where apparently her housefolk lived too.

Laughter twinkled in her pretty blue eyes. "C'mon, I'll show you!" Jade leaped gracefully onto the fence and waited for Aster.
-
He leaped up and stood gazing onto the garden scene. Many twolegs were bustling about digging in the dirt. "Housefolk are peculiar. I mean why are they digging in the dirt like that?"

I mean why are they digging in the dirt like that?"Jade shrugged, surveying the householk. They held large shovels and dug through the earthy soil. "Oh look!" she meowed in delight. "Over there, there's a little house folk!" She nodded towards a little girl crouched down, petting two cats. "Those are my friends with her! C'mon! I'll introduce you to them!"

The tom glides quickly toward the small twoleg and purrs under her soft touch. "This isn't so bad. I thought twolegs were evil creatures." He smiles at Jade.

They feed you and pet you and brush you, it's all really wonderful!" The she-cat purrs and rubs her silver head against the young girls hand. Purring, she walked over to the two cats. "This is Sassy, Aster. She's my sister!" Jade stood by a pretty brown tabby with sky-blue eyes. "And this is her mate, Mop," she nodded to a shaggy grey Tom with green eyes.
-
"Nice to meet you, uh, Sass-AY, and Mop?" He let the strange words roll off his tongue like a bite of carrion.

"Your not from her," she concluded, eyeing the toms scratches. "If your trying to hurt my sister..." Sassy hissed. "Sassy..." Mop warned. Jade rolled her eyes. "Does he look like a threat?" Jade growled, defending her new friend.
-
"What do you mean, 'do I look like a threat?'" The tom flattened his ears and puffed out his tail in anger. Then as suddenly as he'd come he trotted back towards the fence. "I am more of a threat than any of you will ever be!" He said glaring at Jade. "And from now on don't wander too far into the forest or something bad might happen, you might even be lucky enough to run into some of my 'not-a-threat' buddies." He was about to jump over the fence when Jade's voice sounded behind him.

Please, I meant to say you weren't hurting me...please wait...I thought we were...friends!"

Before Aster jumped down on the other side of the fence he turned around. The look on Jade's face was beauty, pure and utter beauty. He mumbled something then cleared his throat. "I want to be more than friends with you Jade." In one leap he next to her again. "I'm sorry I got so mad before." He rubbed his flank against hers and purred.
