Aleena looked around the camp.
Barkkit sat beside his mom.

OOC: have you been advertising on the advertising threads? I can send you the links to some of them.
IC:
Xelouris was snoring in his sleep when he suddenly woke up. His marbled blue tabby pelt looked around at the cave that he had been sleeping in. It seemed like he had been asleep for years. A large yawn escaped his maw as he extended out his legs in a stretched. He rolled onto his paws and then stood and arched his back in another stretched. Something felt like it popped in his back, and he relaxed with a sigh. He gave the cave on last look before he headed out into the daylight. He momentarily squinted from the sun, since his eyes had yet to adjust from the cave to the dazzling sun. Slowly, he was able to focus on something, a shape. It was Aleena, their current leader. He headed over to her and grinned, then sat down beside her. "Lovely day, inn't?" he asked her, looking around to the trees that bordered their camp.
-
i can find them.
Aleena smiled as she looked at Xelouris. She nodded. "Yeah." she said. "Good day for hunting too." she said aloud.
When he heard his mom say 'hunting', he crouched down with his but in the air and pretended to stalk prey. "I can hunt good!" he said.
-
Xelouris nodded as he looked at Barkkit. The marbled tabby grinned. "'Course you are. But I doubt you'd catch anything if the prey see your butt," he laughed, aiming to lightly bat at Barkkit's rump to get him off balance. "Not to mention that that stance isn't a stable one," he then said to the kit.
"Now that you've mentioned--or rather, I did--I'm feeling famished. I can go and hunt for some prey, if you want," he said, grinning at Aleena. He stood up and shook out his pelt, sending bits of fur flying in different directions. He then stretched out his back. "Or if you want, I could stay behind and watch Barkkit while you go and hunt, if you prefer that more." He looked over at Barkkit fondly as he waited for his leader's response.
-
some people are wondering about Xelouris. you might want to put his bio up in the sign up thread.
Aleena smiled. "You can go hunting if you want. I'll stay here with Barkkit." she told him.
Barkkit saw Xelouris and jumped back, but landed on a twig and slipped. he landed with a "oomph". "That's not fair I wasn't ready for you!" Barkkit whined. "But I'm gonna be the greatest hunter AnonymousClan's ever seen!" he said, slamming his paw down. But he slammed it a little too hard and winced.
-
Calloway looked around, smiling. What to do? he wondered as he sent his gaze around camp.
-
OOC: ok, will do. :3
IC:
Xelouris nodded. "A'course. I never said you wouldn't be," he said, grinning. "Well, I'm going to head out now," he said to Aleena. He stood up to leave, but grinned at Barkkit one last time before he walked away from the two of them. He strolled over to the edge of the camp, then turned back. His eyes rested on Calloway. Hunting in pairs were always better, Xelouris then realized. Predators were less likely to attack two cats, and they'd collect more freshkill with two."Hey Calloway! Wanna go hunting with me?" he asked the tom as he saw Calloway's gaze wandering aimlessly around the camp.
-
"Oh, of course!" Calloway said, just noticing Xelouris.
-
"Oh, of course!"
Xelouris grinned. "Sweet. Well, then, there's only one thing left to say," the marbled blue tabby said as he leaned towards Calloway. "Rather, it's a challenge. You know, to keep us on our toes as well as help out the clan." Then he paused and grinned again. After a few more seconds of silence, the tabby took a breath in to continue on. "A challenge, that is, to see who can catch something first. And then, we see if we can catch something else, and then the first to bring both of their catches back wins the round. Sound good?" he asked Calloway, getting ready to spring towards the edge of camp and into the territory at a moment's notice. "I call it "The Catch". Catchy, eh?" he asked, then snickered at the pun.
-
Calloway slightly chuckled at the pun and nodde, getting in his sprinting postion. "Shall we go?" he asked in a slight posh accent.
-
Xelouris nodded. "All right then, on the count of three, we'll go. One... Three!" he called, then bolted off towards the forest. Xelouris snickered as he thought about what he had just done. He wondered if Calloway was left stunned at camp, wondering what had happened to 'two'. Well, it may have been dirty, but he never did say that he'd say two.
The marbled blue tabby snapped back to his current situation as he plunged into the thicket. He opened his maw, and was met with the smells of the forest and prey romping around freely. Which to pick? Which was freshest? he wondered as his head swung from left to right, trying to pick up a fresh scent. A-a vole! He crouched down into hunter's stance and started to crawl, following the scent of vole through the underbrush. His footsteps were as quiet as the stars at night, and he glided over the ground like a wraith. His lips licked in anticipation of the easy kill.

Aleena watched them head off.
Barkkit wanted to go with them, so he started to creep away.

Calloway chuckled due to the missing two and zoomed into the forest, quickly turning his head from side to side, sniffing for prey. Then, Calloway smelt a nearby vole and a mouse, he quickly pounced on the vole and smirked then pounced on the mouse, he quickly tasted the mouse and vole and sniffed for more prey. -
Xelouris, as soon as he was close to the vole, pounced. He quickly snapped its neck, and looked around. He heard movement in the bush, and thought it was Calloway. He opened his mouth to reply, when the fresh scent of rabbit caught him off guard. Something must've scared it, or something. He quietly followed it, waiting for it to calm down. After a few more seconds, he didn't hear the tiny feet thump on the earth, and he peered through the bushes to see it munching on some vegetation. Its beady eyes still kept an eye on its surroundings, so he had to carefully ease back, out of the rabbit's sight. Then, he got into the rabbit's blind spot, and crept forward, before taking a leap and latching onto its rump. It tried to run away, but his claws were hooked, and so he dragged it to him, and then snapped its neck.
Then Xelouris looked around, not hearing anything. He had to get back before Calloway! He picked up the rabbit, and ran back to the vole, which he also stuffed into one part of his maw, before he started to run back to the camp. C'mon, c'mon, he thought, as he sprinted and panted.
-
Aleena smiled as she wondered what else there was to do in the camp.
Barkkit wandered into the woods and began to stalk prey. He ran around, searching for something to hunt.
