    Closer... Closer... And- Thud! The she-cat's white paws land on the ground a second too late as the birds in the trees seem to cackle at her. That was the gray tabby's second fumble of the day, since she went hunting at dawn. How was she supposed to fed her clan if the birds were set on mocking her? A twig snapping behind the irritated she-cat caused her to abruptly turn and snarl, dark gray tail lashing.

    Halowings forest green eyes widened and he almost dropped the mouse in his jaws. Why was sneaking up on she-cats so difficult?
    "Uh, hi," the pure white tom meowed, muffled because of his prey, his tail protruding from his narrow rump lashing behind him. "Bad luck, huh?" He said, trying to calm the annoyed gray tabby. His eyes had softened and were now full of concern for his clanmate.

    Cloudedsky's startling ocean blue eyes widened too as she mumbled, "S-sorry. I didn't know it was you." The gray tabby sat down on the crackling leaves scattering the hard forest floor. "Yeah, I've been trying to catch the birds, while they seem bent on annoying the foxdung out of me." She replied quietly, looking at him with concern, afraid that he'd run after the show she had done. Why did he have to be the one who snuck up behind her and made her snarl? Not that she wasn't glad to see him, of course.

    Halowings's lips tugged and he smiled slightly. A purr began to rumbled in the large white tom's chest and he put down the prey. "It's alright, I probably deserve it," he joked. He gazed upwards at the trees and nodded. "It happens.. why don't you fish?" He asked, one of his brows moving upward. The river that ran through HawkClan territory was packed full of fish. It was actually very relaxing to dive deep down and just swim, but it always makes it better when you return with a plump fish for the Clan.

    Cloudedsky tilted her head, completely relaxed around Halowing. "What, for pushing me in the lake the other day?" She teased. Halowing had done no such thing... It was actually Cloudedsky's clumsiness that caused them to end up in the lake. The she-cat answered his next question with a blush. "Well, you're so great at catching land prey, and all I catch is fish... I wanted to prove to you that I could hunt land prey too."

    [Center][font=georgia]Halowings let out yet another rumbling purr, his ears flat with slight embarrasment. "Yeah, for that," he meowed, his eyes swimming with humor. He flicked his pure white tail and stared, a slight smile spread across his pointed maw, at the pretty gray tabby. At once, his mouth opened up as he shook his head.
    "Oh, well that doesn't matter. I absolutely stink at catching fish so we're even," he said, his soft smile turning into a happy-go-lucky grin.

    Cloudedsky purred, a grin creeping its way across her petite face. She was lucky to have this tom as her mate. "I can help you with that problem, if you help me with those." She threw a look at the still chirping birds. All the more time to spend with him. anyway. Her smile turned into one similar to his, and a deep purr erupted from her chest. She padded over to the handsome white tom, and nuzzled him, just glad to be with Halowings.

    [Center][font=georgia]Halowings returned the nuzzle, a soft purr rumbling deep in his chest. He was lucky to have Cloudedsky.
    "Alright, so long as you don't treat me like a kit," he meowed, humor laced in his words. The tom suddenly head-butted his mate, snatched up his mouse, and hared away towards the river, a chuckle echoing in his wake.

    "Hey!" she growled good-naturedly, haring away to join him. Once she made it to the point where she could see Halowings, but he couldn't see her, she started to creep foward like she was stalking a mouse. She let out a soft little laugh. She'd teach him to trick her!

    [Center][font=georgia]His back to the river, Halowings faced the forest before him. Forest green eyes flashing, he called out mockingly: "Come here, my pretty! I know you're out there!" But he couldn't see his mate. Yet he knew she was lurking out there, seeking her revenge.


    ooc. Lol, I make her sound like a murderous BloodClan warrior XD

    ooc: lol! Yes 'lurking' and 'seeking revenge' tend to do that to a cat... XD


    Cloudedsky narrowed her ocean blue eyes, concentrating on where Halowings stood, calculating the right time to- Jump! Her powerful hind legs propelled her high into the air, where she straightened herself, and aimed towards her mate, to where she would try to knock him over without hurting him.

    [Center][font=georgia]Halowings, however, was not looking in her general direction and was very much suprised.
    "Ambush!" He mewed as he fell. The tom hit the riverbank with a simple oof! and narrowed his eyes playfully up at Cloudedsky. The warrior raised a paw, aiming to swat his mate's chest playfully. A fake growl rumbled in his throat as he did so.

    Cloudedsky laughed lightly at his yell, and then was hit playfully by Halowings's paw. She fake-growled, with a playful glint in her ocean blue eyes, and aimed to cuff him over the ear.

    [Center][font=georgia]A hiss exited the warriors clenched teeth as he felt his mate cuff him over the ear.
    "You'll regret that," he growled. He kicked out with his hind legs, aiming to throw Cloudedsky off.

    "Oh will I?" Cloudedsky meowed, before being thrown into the air by the white warrior. She landed heavily with a thud on the sandy riverbank, and her pelt turned into a dusty mess. The once-gray tabby stood up and hissed playfully, before launching herself at Halowings, aiming to swipe the tom's paws from underneath him.

    [Center][font=georgia]Halowings swiftly dodged his mate's attack and flung himself over her. He landed in the river with a splash and thrust a paw towards Cloudedsky, attempting to send a wave of water droplets showering down upon her.

    Cloudedsky spun around, azure eyes wide in surprise as she looked for her mate. Just as she found him a couple of seconds later in the small body of water behind her, a shower of water droplets rained down on her. She shook them off like a dog, and then proceeded to do the same thing Halowings did, more or less. The pretty gray tabby jumped into the river, and attempted to soak the white warrior.

    [Center][font=georgia]"Hey!" The white tom spluttered after being soaked. He flung himself into the water and dove deep under the surface, his tail trailing behind him. He planned to pull his mate in after him.

    ooc: I'm sorry that I took so long to reply. I had to take care of some stuff in RL.


    Cloudedsky panicked, thinking, from her point of view, that her mate had been dragged down by something, or was caught in the weeds, and that he was drowning in the river. It was a foolish thought, since Halowings was a powerful warrior, and could swim very well, but still, she was frantic. "Halowings? Halowings!" The gray tabby called, head darting back and forth, eyes wide.

    Suddenly, Halowings lept from the water. He attempted to wrap his forepaws around his mates neck and yank her underneath the rippling blue surface with him.
