Chester bounded after Kiba. The beautiful scent of mice and voles adorned the air heavily. There, a mouse! He slowly lowered his haunches, stalking after the prey. The grass rustled quietly under his feet, obeying his commands. He leaped towards the mouse, but he missed it just by a paw. Angry and shaken he yowled.

“Shh!” Kiba whispered, “we don’t want to scare them all away.
Kiba scented a small tanager and stalked silently behind it. It noticed him there and began to fly away. As it jumped off the ground, Kiba sprang upward, bringing his paw down on the birds head. The bird, stunned, plummeted from the air. On its landing a few feathers flew upward. Kiba bit into the birds neck as it lay stunned. He carry the limp bird back to Chester.
“Here, eat it.” He offered the bird and placed it in front of Chester’s paws. -
"Thanks!" He eagerly tore into the bird's flesh, so warm and yummy! He licked his chops and sat on his haunches.
-
"Delish, right?"
-
"Yup!" Chester saw a small finch right after he said that. The small finch was pecking at the ground, searching for seeds. He dropped into the hunter's crouch, eyeing the prey very closely this time. He advanced one paw step after another. More, more! He leaped and landed on the small finch! Sinking it's claws into it, he finished it off with a swift bite.

OOC: Okie dokie
"Wow, I actually caught that.. I can't believe that!"

From the brush nearby, Theresa had been creeping up towards the other two cats. She had never seen a cat of her own kind so close before. Miro was off hunting deer in the woods nearby, well, deer or anything else he managed to catch. Theresa had left to hunt as well, knowing that if she failed to catch anything, she had his support to fall back on. They were a team. Well..kind of.
"Hi," mewed the six-moon-old spotted torbie she-cat from the bushes, then she stepped into view. She was long and lithe, typical of a Savannah cat, which she was, but she was small compared to most in that breed. She was no larger than an average six-moon-old cat. Her voice revealed her naivete. "I'm Theresa. Who're you?"
-
"I be Kiba, and 'e be Chester." Kiba introduced. (Ok, i couldn't resist him talking like the deptford mice/fennywolders!) "So, why is one as young as you here?"
-
"M-my na-ame is C-chester." He was always so skittish around new people. He knew this was a bad habit, but he couldn't break it. "I-i'm 2 ye-ears old-d."
-
Theresa blinked, surprised he seemed scared of her. She had never thought she looked like a threat! "Nice to meet you. I'm here because...well we wandered into this land when we were exploring. I wanted to meet other cats, and so I have." She sat down and curled her banded tail around her so that its tip rested over her front paws.
-
"My own-ner kicked me out of the ne-est." He was beginning to feel better around her. However, he still mourned for his lost sister. He wish he could have her back.
-
"Owner?" said Theresa. This was no kit; he was too old to be talking about his mother...wasn't he? "I don't understand. How can someone own you?"
-
"Twoleg, as you call them." Hopefully, she'd understand now.
-
''I didn't know twolegs could own US,'' said Theresa. ''Did they hurt you or anything?''
-
"No, they were actually very kind. But they kicked me out for some odd reason, and here I am! If it wasn't for Lemonwhip, I'd be dead." He wasn't sure if he should be speaking about the spirit that appeared to him, but he had to tell the truth.
-
"Lemonwhip?" Theresa flicked an ear. "Who's Lemonwhip?"
-
"I have no clue either. She appeared in front of me and pointed me to Kiba. I would like to know who she is though..."
-
"Hm." Theresa didn't have any advice for him. He seemed nice, though, and she was greatly relieved that cats of her own kind were nice. At least these two were. She had started out a little nervous that they wouldn't welcome her in. The question now was what to do next. She wasn't hungry, so no need to go hunting on her part. She doubted she would've caught much anyway--she wasn't much good at hunting and most of her food came from Miro. Then, yes, there was the subject of the cougar whose care she was in. She knew very little of her kind, but she had a hunch they didn't normally live with cougars. She decided, for now, to keep it all a secret. "Do you live here?" she finally asked.
-
"In Sunclan, yes." Chester was a bit confused on what she meant.
