"Oh hey, I brought you two some clothes." Kinger said, going back to his car and taking out some bags. "I don't have many girls in my group, and they don't wear much girl stuff so -"
"No problem, I don't really enjoy girl clothing anyway." Sydney nodded taking the bags. "Thanks."
"Anytime Black, I've gotta go now, but becareful." Sydney nodded watching Kinger leave. She wondered where Cody had went, and went into the building to look for him.

Cody glanced at the heavy chain lock on the door and frowned. He walked over to the window next to the door, pushing out the rotting planks blocking it. He swung himself quietly over the sill and into the building.
-
Sydney tore the building apart, not finding her partner, but finding a room with two beds. She shrugged, and decided to change. Dumping out the bags, she found a pair of black jeans, and another black tank. She nodded in approval. While she had the chance, she took a look at her leg wound. Finding it looking much better then three nights ago, she nodded and dressed. Puttting her boots back on, she laid down on one of the beds, having her gun at the ready.
-
Cody paused for a moment, letting his eyes adjust to the gloomy darkness. He could see a light shinning from under one of the doors. He headed towards it, pulling out his gun.
(Small timeskip?)
-
(Yeash please :3)
Sydney jolted awake at the sound of squeaking. She shot at a mouse looking for crumbs, hitting the creature dead on.
-
Cody sat on the other bed in the room, leaning back against the frame like he'd never been gone. He glanced up at the gun shot, looking at the mouse, then at Sydney. He leaned his head back again, half closing his eyes.
-
"Where did you disappear off too?" Sydney said sitting up. She rubbed her eyes, and yawned.
-
Cody shrugged "Just for a walk," he replied vaguely without looking at her. "What's that?" he asked, motioning to the bags and clothes.
-
"Extra clothes and stuff. There's quite the variety." Sydney shrugged.
-
"Interesting." Cody replied, not bothering to ask where it came from. He closed his eyes again and put his hands behind his head.
-
Sydney looked back at Cody, she got up walked over to his bed. She sat down beside it, and looked up at Cody. "Are you okay?" She asked quietly.
-
No, I'm not fine. Cody wanted to yell at her. Instead he just shrugged "Yeah, I guess so. Why?" he asked, opening his eyes to look down at her.
-
"Because I can see it that your not." Sydney said quietly. She looked at him earnestly, wanted him to confide in her. But Sydney somehow knew, that wouldn't happen.
-
Cody opened his mouth to tell her then just shook his head. He couldn't meet her gaze, so he looked away. "I'm fine," he repeated firmly "Just uh.. tired." He finished, wincing inwardly at the lame excuse.
-
Sydney sighed, but nodded. "Fine." She stood, and went over to her own bed. She laid down, and turned her back to Cody and took out the locket Kinger had given her. She popped it open, and looked at the picture of her mother.
-
Cody hoped Sydney didn't take his silence personally. It was just better if she didn't know... certain things. He glanced over at her and frowned slightly, then leaned back again, shutting his eyes. Maybe, in the end, it would be better if they didn't get too close. As much as the idea appealed to him, he didn't think he would actually stay with Sydney for that much longer.
-
Sydney closed the locket, and stood. "I'm going for target progress." She murmured. She walked out, and stood on the balcony, over looking the warehouse. She scoweled at everything, somehow knowing she wouldn't stay with Cody long. This angered her. Cody knew secrets even Eagle didn't know. Seeing movement, she shot a stray bird down. They would probably split the money, then head away from each other. Sydney's eyes flashed with anger, shooting another bird.
-
Cody just nodded at her explanation. He watched her for a moment, wondering why she seemed upset. Had it really bothered her that much when he brushed her off? It didn't seem likely to him but he couldn't think of anything else, that had just happened, that would make her angry.
-
Sydney swallowed, putting a mental barrier around herself. She blocked out all emotions. None got in, and she put her gun away. Leaning on the railing, she sighed. Looking around, she shook her head, and thought about her little sister. She would be 14 now, probably in a foster home. Sydney shrugged, and walked back into the room. "So, tomorrow we strike." She said nothing in her voice.
-
"Tomorrow," Cody agreed, matching her empty tone. But he couldn't help but smile slightly to himself as he leaned back again. Tomorrow would certainly be interesting. The thought occurred to him that there weren't many people he'd trust enough to do what he was going to do with Sydney tomorrow. We do make a pretty good team...
