• Sarathi curled his lip. "Noah. We don't try to kill off the cat because we want to study the victim, to see if there might be a cure in the smallest part of the disease." The Herb growled, clearly not excited to kill off another Skull member.

  • 'Hmm. He agreeded, clearly not intimated by the herb's display of aggression. Well, he was a wolf. Any ways, of course he didn't mean their own clan members, but he kept quiet to avoid the feline to get anymore agitated. He did find the idea rather silly, if that cat could easily slobber in to a cut of an un infected cat and it would spread. 'How many have you came across?' He meowed, thinking quietly of his mother. Who most of died of the disease with the rest of his pack.

    Takashi looked to Noah with sympathy. "Well, at least I'm not the only one." he replied, still speaking in canine before looking to Sarathi. He tried his best not to intimidate the Herb for growling at a fellow canine, so he simply sat, as still as a stone.

  • Ankh looked away. Three cats, doomed to death. "Are there any herbs you've tried that at least do something for the victim?" The marbled silver tabby asked hopefully. The whole conversation was depressing him. Death usually didn't faze him, being a Skull and all, but the thought of cats dying from an incurable disease was awfully sad.

  • "Yes, we've tried to use a poultice of Poppy seeds, Some of the traveling herbs, plenty of catmint, and coltsfoot. None of it ever worked." Sarathi meowed solemnly.

  • Ankh sighed. "That's awful. What do you think the disease targets? A certain organ? Maybe the brain? If we knew that, could we try herbs meant for that body part?" the young tom asked, azure eyes unfocused as he mused over possible ideas.

  • "Well what about Thyme?" Fatality spoke up after listening to the others speak. Dokuro confirmed that there was no cure, but certainly there was something that could help, right? His eyes looked over Noah and Sarathi, then back to Takashi and Ankh.

    "Thyme helps calming a cat, doesn't it? Well, if it does, can't you use to Thyme to help calm down the "insane" cat and then try other herbs?" He asked, flicking his ears back. Maybe he was wrong, but it was an idea, wasn't it?

    "And for a muzzle mask, why not try burrs? I'm pretty sure those don't pull off fur?" He meowed, straightening up a little and flicking his ears back up.

    {{Sorry for late reply, I was at a sleepover }}

  • "That sounds reasonable." Ankh agreed, nodding his silver head. "If the victim was calm, experiments would be far easier."

    ooc; Low muse. ;-;

    "He said the disease travels through air," Takashi interjected. "Even if the patient was calm, there would be a risk."

    [no muse]

  • Ankh took that into consideration. "But curing diseases is the duty of a Herb. I think all of us here would risk it to possibly prevent anymore cats from ever getting it." he pointed out.

  • "Mhmm." He nodded his head, knowing he'd risk his life to save any member of Skull, even in battle or whatever. That was what a loyal cat does, was it not? "And if one can figure out a way to make a muzzle mask and keep it on, that might solve the air travelling problem, would it not?" He asked aloud, feeling more at ease with talking on this subject now.

  • Ankh nodded to Fatality. "Yes, I would think so." he mewed. "Unless it can get in through your ears." Ankh added, laughing lightly at his poor joke. He looked at the coyote and the wolf for a moment. To think such strong creatures could also be killed by the disease...It sent a shiver through his bones.

  •
    "The disease doesn't kill you immediately. It targets the brain and makes you go insane, so you could end up killing other members." Takashi said, his voice rather harsh as he glanced at them. Did they think he was willing to kill another Skull to save himself? In the coyote's point of view, it seemed like it. But he didn't let it get to him too much.

  • Osier felt rather annoyed with getting pushed aside and forgotten about. "I said you could use vines." his voice showing slight anger at the thought of being ignored.

  • Ankh have Takashi an annoyed glance, then turned to Osier. "Vines would actually work nicely. You could maybe use them to fasten a big leaf to your face..." He thought aloud, drifting off again.

  • Glad that is was Ankh that had responded, he smiled warmly, glad to know that his plan would maybe succeed and be used by the herbs.

    Takashi sighed. Cats were such an emotional race, he could feel the anger from Osier and annoyance from Ankh. At least he had a size advantage when it came to size. Looking back to Ankh, his eyes flashed in warning, claws tapping against the ground before he looked back to the Herbs.
