  • Edward Silas Dayze waited for the next customer. He was working at a little restaurant in the 'cheaper' part of town. Like all waiters, he was living off tips. Which meant he was broke. There were only two others at the restaurant- the owner/cook and the waitress, who rarely showed up. Edward sighed. Dead broke... Or, just dead.

    (Edward:

  • Charlotte walked in with Beverly, her best friend. She wore dark prada aviators to hide the ruby red eyes underneath. Her hair was tied into a twisted ponytail. She wasn't dead...she was partly, as Beverly had pointed out.

  • Edward walked over. "Welcome to Mari's. I'm Edward, I'll be your waiter today." It was clear he had a slight British accent. He led them to a table, handed out menus. "I'll be back in a few minutes."

  • "Okay." Beverly had a slight German accent to her tone. Charlotte just nods, she was quiet like that. Beverly looks at the blonde. "Just take them off, Char." She instructed taking the glasses off Charlotte's face revealing her eyes.

  • A moment later he returned with bread, butter and water. He looked at Charrlottes eyes with curiosity, but only for a second.

  • Charlotte says a quiet thanks and gives Beverly a death glare. "I'll get you for that." She says taking back the pradas. Beverly smiles brightly. "So I should put running away from Charlotte on my to-do list?"

  • Penny had put down her book and was watching the two girls laugh together

Edward came to the table, setting down the food and drinks. "Have you decided on what to eat yet?"

  • Beverly turns and smiles. "Just two salads," She replied. Charlotte nods at Beverly.

  • He nodded and disappeared into the kitchen.

  • "Just watch your back when you get home." Charlotte challenges. "You won't know what hit you." Beverly shakes her head. "I'll know you when I see you. Those eyes give away everything."

  • He came back out with the salads. "Anything else?"

  • "I'll be back shortly with a receipt." And again, the kitchen.

  • They nod and eat their salads. "I'm still good at sneaking up on you." Charlotte says.

  • Edward sat down, watched the receipt print out... Wondered were he would stay that night...

  • He brought out the receipt. "Thank you for eating here." He always hated the practiced script he had to say. The words tasted like plastic topped by a fake smile. But he pulled it off anyway.

  • Charlotte paid and put her pradas back on once again hiding herself. "No problem." She walked out with Beverly.
