  • It had been one moon since the death of Scarbelly's sister had died. A Thunderclan Patrol had started fight with the two when they both were mere apprentices. Hollypaw had died and Thornpaw had been made a warrior and renamed Scarbelly. She sat off to one side of camp, her eyes down. Her thoughts swarmed in her head. She wasn't dead, she couldn't be! Any second Hollypaw would come back through the front of ccamp and be all cheerful, she couldn't be dead!

  • An orange tabby padded over to where the she-cat sat, his amber eyes soft as he recalled the recent events. "Are you alright Thornp... I mean Scarbelly?" He had trouble with the name change of the new warrior who he had shared the apprentice den with. Pathfinder had his ears pulled back and his tail low, not wanting to get the she-cat angry with his rude interruption of her quiet time.

  • Scarbelly raised her head. "Who?" She asked blinking a couple of times as she hoped desperately for her sister. The disappointment crushed her. "Oh, Pathfinder. It's you. How are you?" She mewed quietly.

  • "I'm fine, it's you I'm worried about." Pathfinder meowed, sitting beside the depressed female. He gently touched his tail tip to Scarbelly's flank in a comforting gesture, he didn't really want to bring up the recent events but he wanted to make sure she was alright.

  • Scarbelly was surprised at the statement. "Me? Of course I'm fine." She forced a smile but it faded away. "Anyways, why do you care? Why didn't you just stay away like everyone else?" She asked turning to the other cat.

  • Pathfinder flattened his ears to his head as she accused him. "I shared a den with you for as long as I can remember, I remember who you were before everything happened." He meowed quietly, pulling his tail back to lay it across his white paws. "I don't care about what anyone else thinks anyway. I was always one to go against the crowds." He smiled lightly.

  • "Hollypaw was in the den too. That's sounds like something she would've said." Scarbelly looked downward, "It's my fault. I try too hard to get away from everycat that I am surprised when one want to talk to me."

  • "I know, I loved her as well." Pathfinder meowed softly, brushing his tail along her spine. "We all miss her, but don't push us away. We're your clanmates, we'll always be here for you." He purred, flicking his ears back up and twitching his whiskers slightly, images of the deceased she-cat running through his mind.

  • Scarbelly sighed. "I guess your right. But i feel like everyone stares at me. Plus both my hunting a fighting skills have been effected. I feel useless." She stared at he paws. Then she turned to Pathfinder. "Do you think I should go to the Elder's den?"

  • Pathfinders amber eyes widened, flicking his tail in shock. "Of course not! You are a great warrior, we all have our off days." He meowed, trying to convince her.

  • "I dunno.." Scarbelly mewed. "I feel that I just can't help at all without my mind going back to Hollypaw. I'm worse and hunting now, and lack motivation to get better." She sighed.

  • Pathfinder nodded in understanding. "Sometimes, when I'm hunting, I picture Hollypaw there beside me. She helps me by pushing me to do my best." He purred, twitching his whiskers slightly. "Let your clanmates be your motivation, we still need you."

  • OOC: I just had to say this, Because of your siggie. I'm not a one direction fan, but that picture makes me laugh! Two of them have long eyelashes, two have normal, and one has like no eyelashes! It's really funny!

IC: Scarbelly nodded. "I see. But then theirs another thing. It's not like a haven't thought of that, but that when she's by me, she's calling by my name; Scarbelly. And then that reminds me of what happened and that she's not really here." She looked at Pathfinder and smiled a little. "I feel silly burdening you with my problems."

  • ((Lol, your right! I didn't notice that before. :D ))

Pathfinder purred, touching his nose to her cheek lightly. "Please, you are no burden." He meowed softly, glancing around the clearing. "Come with me for a walk, it will help clear your mind." He smiled, getting to his paws.

  • Scarbelly looked up at him, surprised. "A walk?" She asked. "Oh, okay." She said, getting up. "But don't make me run too much. I don't like it." She said, quietly.

  • Pathfinder let out an amused purr, padding towards the camp entrance. "Don't worry, it's just a simple walk to clear your mind." He meowed before disappearing into the forest.

Ic: " I dunno... It would be just like you to say that and mean something else!" She mewed, going slightly faster to catch up. When she did, she fell into pace with him.

  • "Was that a swipe at me?" Pathfinder aimed to bump her flank with his own, green eyes flashing with amusement. "What about you? You don't always speak the truth." He teased.
