  • "Its great! I love it!" She said, turning circles in the water. She felt something graze her leg and she jumped in surprise. She saw something floating in the water, she pulled it up and out. It was some sort of slimy plant. "Ew!!" she said, dropping it back.

Slate walked into a hotel, walking up to a front desk. "How may i help you?" The man asked in an im-better-than-you voice. "Two nights, biggest room..." He said, figuring they would need some room... He paid the six hundred dollars, deciding he would let it slip. He was too tired to look for anywhere else. He walked up to the room, it had two beds, a huge window which honestly made him feel more vulnerable than at home, two bathrooms, two bed-side tables, three lamps, and a lounge chair. Seemed big enough....He walked back to the others. " Got them, come on, lets get going. We can hang out here tomorrow when we have some supplies and get fixed up." He said.

  • Dusk laughed at Ash's reaction to the plant. She nodded at Slate and walked back over to Dawn, shaking her awake. "Come on, we're going." She said.

    ----

Dawn blinked and sat up. "What?" Then she made sense of Dusk's words. "Oh." She said, standing and brushing sand off of her.

  • Slate grinned, watching ash run over.
    --
Ash shivered, "Its cold!" She exclaimed, sticking to Slate.
    --
"Well apparently its okay to hug me when youu are sopping wet." slate said, smirking.
    --
Ash smiled sheepishly but didn't let go.
    --
Slate rolled his eyes, "You should have thought about that before you got in anyway. Come on, you can take a warm shower when we get there." He muttered. He walked towards the hotel after ash released

  • Dusk followed the two.

    ----

Dawn walked beside Dusk. She looked at her. "I'm glad you finally found some friends." She said teasingly. "You know, the guy looks pretty cute." She whispered, then she laughed at Dusk's expression.

    ----

Dusk froze, then frowned at Dawn. "You know I don't think stuff like that is funny." She said, looking away as she blushed slightly. She continued walking.

  • Slate walked through the front doors, what sense he had left going alert. He kept a keen eye for anyone suspicious. He led them to room 307, "This is it." He said, opening the door. He left it open, laying the key on a desk by the large windows. He hadn't noticed the windows were actually sliding doors that lead to a balcony. He walked over to them, looking out the transparent glass. He sat at the edge of a bed, closing his eyes, letting out a silent sigh. He tried to stay awake, the thought of sleeping was great but the thought of something happening....
    --
Ash walked out onto the balcony, ignoring Slate's "Be careful." Warning. she smiled, walking back in, "it is very nice here. how long do we stay?"

  • Dusk sat down on the other bed, yawning. She was also tired.

    -----

Dawn glanced at Dusk. "Your turn to sleep." She said. Then she looked at Slate. "You should too. Oh, I never properly introduced myself. I'm Dawn." She said with a smile.

  • He let out a soft chuckle, "And leave a 14 year old and a 6 year old awake with nothing to do? sounds like a whole load of trouble..." he said, flashing her a weak smirk. "Im Slate, nice to meet you... I wish it could have been a less stressful event that lead us to meet eachother." He said, glancing to her.
    --
Ash got out of the shower, in her clothes again. She walked back out. "My clothes are still wet." she muttured.
    --
Slate looked to her, He slipped off his hoodie, not really sure why he hadn't taken it off anyway... "Go change into this instead of your shirt."He said.

  • Dawn frowned. "I'm mature for my age." She said, sitting beside Dusk.

    ----

Dusk laughed quietly and patted Dawn on the head. "Sure, sure you are." She commented. "I'll stay awake. You get some sleep." She said to Slate.

  • "Alright." Dusk finally agreed. She stood and pulled back the cover, then laid down and pulled it over her. In a few minutes, she fell asleep.

    ---

Dawn leaned against the headboard, laying beside Dusk. "You sure your not going to be able to trust me with Ash while you two get some rest?" She asked Slate.

  • Slate sighed, he knew he would never hear the end of Ash if he didn't. "Ok, but don't leave the room, if you need anything wake me up." He said. He lay down, staring at the ceiling. he didn't bother messing with the covers and just drifted to sleep on top on his stomach so he didn't make his wings ache anymore than they already did.
    --
Ash walked in from the balcony, smiling as she saw them asleep. "About time." She whispered as she walked by.

  • Dawn looked at Ash. "Please don't tell me your planning something." She said.

  • "If they catch us they won't be happy." Dawn said, glancing at Slate and Dusk.

  • She shrugged, "Slate never stays mad at me too long. But do what you like, i am going." She said, walking back to the balcony. She stood on the ledge, smiling back to her before she took flight, flying up straight to gain altitude to keep out of sight.

  • Dawn sighed and stood, following Ash. She easily caught up to her.

  • Dawn smiled. "It is beautiful." She said, doing a little flip in the air.

  • She grinned, landing on a roof.

Slate woke up, sitting up straight, letting out a short growl of pain from his teeth, a hand skimming over his shoulder. Nothing was there... He blinked, it still stung. He ran his hand along it again and blood smeared down his palm. He examined his shoulder, a gash runbing from its top to the halfpoinyt of his upper forearm. How did it ger tthere? He thought, puzzled as he watched the blood drizzle down his arm.
