Dusk rolled her eyes, but stood and walked over to the tree. She swiftly started to climb, easily catching up.

-
He grinned, jumping from one branch to another. " 'You climb trees before?" he asked her.
-
Dusk smiled. "If I haven't, would I be climbing this fast?" She asked, still easily climbing.
-
He shrugged, "Maybe." He said, grinning in her direction. He stopped once the branches began to get too thin.
--
Ash woke up, but she wasn't where she expected to be. She was still in the cave, but she was floating. She tried to get down but she was locked in place. She looked around the room, feeling instantly smaller. The cave had darkened since she had last been awake. She felt a pair of eyes on her and she looked over her shoulder, gasping when she saw a large eraser peering at her.
--
It smiled, knowing what it was going to do.
--
Ash let out a yell for help, silenced quickly as it brought her closer to it. She didn't like the feeling she couldn't defend herself even if she wanted to.
--
Slate frowned, he leaped from the branch he was on, landing at his feet on the ground. He ran towards the cave, and right when he stepped in he knew what was happening.
--
The eraser grinned, "well, that was easy." It growled, eyes locked on Slate. -
Dusk heard the yell, and she was right behind Slate. She froze when she saw the Eraser.
-
Slate glared, "Let her go." He growled, clenching his fists.
--
"I am not giving in that easy, you don't scare me. Besides, why miss the show?" It said, running its claws down Ash's cheek, drawing blood.
--
Ash shivered as her cheek ran numb, she looked at them with pleading eyes.
--
Slate took a step forward, "Release her or--
--
"Or you will what? Kill me? You always were a fool." He hissed. "Maybe you should have thought about that before you killed them, and don't act like you don't know. You have lives on your hands too." He added with an egotistical grin.
--
Slate flinched at his words, but he stayed where he was. "Let her go, it is me that you are dealing with, not her."
--
"You must feel the pain i did, feel what is like to lose the ones you love." He growled. He pulled out a gun, placing it to ash's head. "Don't try anything stupid...Brother." He said with a grin as he walked by, flying away with Ash.
--
Ash kicked at the eraser, tears stinging her eyes as she watched the cave disappear. -
Dusk was surprised. She didn't know what to do. Looking at Slate, she waited for him to say something or do something. She wasn't a leader. Plus, she was still stuck up on that one comment. Brother?
-
Slate raced after them, in the wolf form he had been in before. He ran full-stride, trying desparately to keep eye contact. He began to pant but pushed on, he just couldn't seem to catch up. He didn't understand, how could an eraser's wings support them so well? He felt his paw hit mid-aire and he tumbled down the slope, unseen until it was too late. He skidded to a stop at the bottom, laying there, avian form once more. He closed his eyes and lay there, cursing himself with every word he could think of, eventually going silent, breathing heavy and ragged.
--
Ash woke up, finding herself strapped down at a table. Her eyes widened in fear, she was in the school... Alone. -
Dusk shifted into her phoenix form with a large screech. She was very large, and her large wings were covered in flames. She was shadow black. She quickly flew after them, her eyes staying on both the Eraser and Slate. Soon the Eraser was out of site. Looking down, she saw Slate fall. She glided down, landing by him. She let out a gentle "caw", lowering her head. Her two, long, feathered tails[yes, she has two tails] swished back and forth. Her expression said "We will get her back". The flames on her wings dimmed, since she wasn't chasing anyone.
-
He sighed, "I never should have left her alone... " He muttered in defeat, everything whirling around in his mind.
-
I shouldn't have changed! Now I'm stuck in this form... Dusk thought, irritated at that. She hoped over to him, looking him in the eyes. At least she could communicate telepathically. "It was not your fault. Do not blame yourself!" She sent the order to him.
[I forgot to add that when she changes into her Phoenix form, she has to be a Phoenix for ten minutes to fifty minutes. She never knows when she will change back.]
-
"It is my fault. I knew he would come sooner than later, but i thought it would be for me, not Ash... It shouldn't have been her." He said, anger boiling his veins.
-
Dusk let out a low growl. "Listen! It is in the past now. We can't change what happened. I don't know about you, but I am not just going to act like a coward and sit around sulking. I am going to go get her back." She thought.
-
He glanced to her, sitting up after a minute... "We are getting both of them."
--
Ash felt a chill run down her back, she looked around the room, trying to struggle free. It was no use... She went limp, fear overcoming her senses. She wished she were back with the flock... The door opened in the right corner, shutting silently. She watched as an eraser walked in, no. The eraser came in, its grin made Ash have to look away, ignore the dagger-like teeth. She whimpered slightly as it brought its face so close to hers she had to press it sideways to the table as to keep from making contact.
--
Slate jumped up, taking a running start, "Come on." He said before he took flight. -
Dusk hopped into the air, flapping her wings strongly. She caught up to Slate. Ever alert, her sharp eyes kept a look out for enemies.
-
He flew silently, so many things cluttering his mind...
--
Cole withdrew, "I don't see why he would go to so much trouble to save such a pathetic littlle bird. Funny... Don't expect any escape, if you aren't dead by then..I know they are on their way but they won't get far. He will be saved for me to deal with, and i will let him watch you die."It growled, recoiling a hand from the table as it walked and disappeared from sight. Ash was sobbing silently, almost wishing she were dead. -
Dusk flapped her wings a few times, then began soaring. Her mind drifted to the subject of her sister. What if she isn't alive anymore? What if they- She couldn't think about that anymore. She shook her head.
-
"We are almost there." He said, remembering its last location. "Please be here..." He muttered, looking for it.
--
Ash felt a prick in her arm, she fell asleep instantly, not even having time to panic. -
Dusk glanced around. She spotted it. Over there. She thought, motioning towards it.
-
He nodded, diving down into the trees, a couple of hundred feet away. They couldn't just dive in, it wouldn't work like that....
--
Ash woke up, in a cage.. The familiar smell of metal and fear hanging densely in the musty air. She tried to sit up, gasping as pain ripped up her side. She glanced at it, lifting up her shirt. There was a whole row of stitches from her lower waist to the top of her ribs, all lining her side. She held back tears, what had they done to her?
