"I'm fine." Dusk said. She wasn't a fan of others thinking she was weak.

Slate eyed her for a minute, "Okay... Get some sleep, I will keep watch." He said, but instead he left, only to return a few minutes later with some wood. He set it in a pile in the back of the cave, he pressed his palm to the wood and flames instantly engulfed the bark. He then walked to the entrance of the cave and sat slowly, waiting for the sky to darken.
-
Dusk laid down, closing her eyes. It took her a few minutes to fall asleep. After a few minutes, she fell asleep.
-
Ash sighed, closing her eyes. She didn't make a sound.
--
Slate sighed, closing his eyes for a second. He opened them again, watching the last rays of the sun die out. He didn't know what to expect... Now with everyone, almost everyone dead, he didn't know how long they would last. For all he knew, Phelix hadn't been able to find them again.... Slate eyed the moon, watching it travel across the sky... -
Dusk muttered something in her sleep, rolling over. Her sleep was never peaceful. She was just naturally a restless sleeper....and her memories of the School didn't help that.
-
He glanced back at her, hearing her movements. He grinned a little and faced the other way. The sun had risen an hour ago. He lifted up his shirt, placing a hand over the gash that had not stopped bleeding. He worked at cauterizing the wound as he waited for them to wake up.
-
Dusk woke up a few minutes later. Blinking her eyes open, she sat up and looked around. For a few seconds she didn't realize where she was, but then her memories came back. She shook her head and sat up, wincing at her wing wound again. She had no knowladge of taking care of wounds like that. She wasn't the best with healing and all that.
-
Slate stared out into the trees. "It will get infected you know." He said, breaking the silence.
--
Ash didn't move, still sleeping deeply. -
"Honestly? I have no idea how to treat wounds." Dusk admitted, glancing at him.
-
"Well don't say it like it is a bad thing... Here, let me look at it. Is it a bullet wound?" He asked, turning to face her.
-
Dusk gently unfolded her wings. On her left wing, there was a deep wound. "Yes, it is." She answered.
-
He observed the wound, checking to make sure it hadn't gone through the other side. He stood, "Come with me, there is a stream I can use to clean it so i can get to it better." He said, walking off to the left.
-
Dusk stood, following him. She glanced around.
-
He knelt by the water, ripping the bottom rim of his shirt. He soaked it into the water, wringing it out a bit as he waited for her, glancing back in her direction.
-
Dusk walked over to him, sitting down.
-
He inched forward a bit to her wing, gently unfolding it to where he could reach the wound. He gingerly pressed the wet cloth to the gash, wiping at the edges of the wound to clear away the clotted blood. He placed a hand over the wound, "Im just going to get it cold, numb it a bit..." He said, withdrawing his hand after a minute. He quickly removed the bullet, "It is a pretty clean shot... Should heal enough to fly comfortably in atleast 3 days. We should give it four just in case." He paused for a minute, wishing they had bandages. "If it starts bleeding again, tell me. I can fix it." He said, standing.
-
Dusk nodded and stood. "Thanks." She said, folding her wings again.
-
"So, what are your powers anyway?" He asked casually, wanting to know some things about her, considering it seemed she'd be stayinig.
--
Ash woke up, seeing the empty cave she grinned. -
"I can turn into a pheonix, and I have very sensative hearing." Dusk replied. "What about yours?"
-
"Er, i can control temperature, sorta fire/ice but not exactly and morph into some weird four-legged anmals. Or so that is what our old flock called them anyway." He said with a smirk. "We should probably get back to Ash..." He said after a minute, remembering she was alone. He couldn't let anything happen to her.....
