Victoria was walking down the streets with her close gay friend Adam who was just trying to talk her out of another stupid idea. "It is not going to do any good and you know it!" He exclaimed, now getting irritated with her stubbornness.
She knew he was right but didn't want to give in so quick... She sighed and stopped. When Adam stopped too, she walked up to him and hugged him dearly "I am sorry Adam." She whispered. Adam was her only best friend, whom she trusted completely. Tears started running down her eyes form the stress of yesterday.
Adam let her hug him and sighed, finally relaxed. When he looked into her eyes he noticed that she was crying and laughed. "Oh God Victoria! Stop crying!"
He wiped her tears off her cheeks and she pressed out a smile. "Thank you," she muttered.
He laughed again and holding her by the shoulders led down the street.
Victoria -

Adam -

Lily got up. "Where's Skyla?" she muttered, walking upstairs to her room.

Victoria walked with Adam a little bit longer and then walked over to the house, opposite Matthew's that the two friends have rented while they stayed in this town. She opened the door and walked in, greeted by her ginger tom called Leo, who started meowing asking for food. Victoria asked Adam to refill the cat's bowl and went over to the living room where she earlier left her book. When she found it, she came back to the kitchen where Adam waited for her and at the sight of him she smiled. "I found it."
He nodded, and took it from her hands and with a smile read the title. "Anna Karenina." He glanced at Victoria. "Nice." And handed it back.

Lily opened the door. She smiled. Skyla, her pit bull, was asleep on her bed.

Adam got a cup out of the cupboard and poured in some orange juice. He then glanced at Victoria, she smiled and said "No thanks," understanding him instantly.

Lily walked in and sat on her bed. Skyla opened her eyes and looked up at her.

Adam then kissed Victoria on the forehead and slowly walked over to the living room, still carrying his juice in one hand, and started checking his email.

Victoria watched Adam leave with a smile. She then started reading her book...

Lily rubbed Skyla's head.

Adam read a couple of emails and then started replying to one.
Victoria decided that she really liked that book and turned over to the next page...

Skyla rolled onto her back. Lily yawned.

Victoria was so taken in by the book that she hasn't even noticed that Adam has entered the kitchen again. He crept up behind her and peered over her shoulder. When she noticed him she jumped forward, frightened. Her eyes were wide open and she stared at him for some time, recovering. He laughed and came over to her and hugged her. She started laughing too and then pushed him away, softly. "Someday," she said, "Someday I will catch you!"
Adam smiled and kissed her on the forehead before going away again.
