  • Flintpaw shook his head with a chuckle. "Nice going." He waded back to shore and sat beside her. "Up for a game?" he asked playfully, nudging her.

  • "Well, first of all it's called River Monster." Flintpaw began, feeling happy to be able to explain something to someone. "And what you do first is flip a leaf or skip a stone or the likes, and whoever gets their leaf's side chosen or their stone skipped the furthest, yada yada, gets to chose who gets to be the river monster and who gets to be a Riverclan Warrior. The River Monster always has to be halfway in the water. The Riverclan Warrior, on the other hand, can swim or walk on shore. If the River Monster bring the Riverclanner's head under water for five seconds, then it wins. So the Warrior can escape by swimming away, jumping from stones in the middle of the river, or anything else he can think of. But, the Warrior has to catch..."he thought for a moment. "Ten fish to win, one at a time and placed here." He kicked at the pebbles of the river and they flew away, revealing a bare dent. "How does that sound?" he asked, excitement glittering in his eyes.

  • "You'll get the hang of it," he assured. "But I like playing it, because we can hunt for the clan at the same time." He picked up a leaf between his claws. "Call front or back," he meowed, flicking it into the air.

  • Flintpaw let her go, then went back to shore. "Sorry," he said. "I suppose this isn't much fun."

  • OOC: they just started hunting.

IC: He dove under the water where the river widened to a deep pool. The current swirled to the bottom in that area, where fish were lazily gliding. The surge of cold that overcame him took his breath away. He swam further down and sank his claws into one of the escaping fish. It thrashed wildly but he sunk his claws in further. Flintpaw struggled to surface, despite the current that sucked him down. For a long time he struggled to rise and keep the fish in order. Finally, he dragged himself up the side of a rock, crushing a fish as he did so. His lungs screamed for air and he scrambled towards the surface of the water. When his head finally broke the water he took a deep gulp of what he thought was air. But just then a wave crashed over his face and he sucked in water instead. When he could finally breath he was lying on top of the rock, his flanks rising and falling heavily. Every breath of air felt like swallowing a thousand nettles and wen he finally recovered from his miserable state he dragged himself back to shore, large dripping carp in his jaws. "Well," he panted. "I caught one. And crushed another against a rock. So I suppose that's two for me." He coughed and spluttered out water. "And now I guess we're even."
