Moving in again

    Cougareyes hesitated, looking at Skyliekit and back at Clearkit. "No. They are too small and even their eyes aren't fully open. Give them time." The father didn't even know when he would ever let them play. He remembered last time with his last kits - left his sight and never were found. He doesn't want that to happen again, especially since they were the only family he has left, including Breathpaw and Splashpaw. "Before they play, I want them strong and have full sight and hearing. Understand?"

    Nodding Clearkit replied, "Yes.." In a light tone, once she noticed Cougareyes hesitence, she had'nt meant to have upset him. " Did'nt mean to upset you.." She murrowed lightly with a shy like smile to the deputy.

    Skyliekit closed her eyes just as quickly as they where open and moved closer to her father meowing a little at him as she moved closer to him feeling his warmth and safety.


    Snowwater purred a little. "Come here Clearkit." she meowed gently. "why don't you play with Springkit." she meowed.


    Springkit looked at her mother near Skyliekit then turned to her siblings. She wanted to play now. She got up looking to Skyliekit again as if making sure the tiny kit was safe before she went to play with her sister.

    Cougareyes smiled at Springkit, finding it a little humerous that she ws so protective over Skylie. "She's fine with me." he told her, resting his head over his kit.

    Springkit knew he was safe with him but she still felt protective over the kit. She then decided to try and pounce on Clearkit.


    Skyliekit made noise in her sleep. She purred when she felt her father's face closer to her. As if she knew he was her father.

    Clearkit gave a screech once she felt Springkit land ontop of her back, easily she aimed to try and roll over with him on her to try and get him off.

    Springkit squeaked at her sister. She held on so she wouldn't fall but not to hurt her sister. She did finally fall off her sister's back. She purred and decided to try again.

    With a giggle Clearkit easily dodged her sisters attack this time, before aiming to lightly bat at her sisters ears with amusement glittering in her blue depths.

    Cougareyes huffed, letting a tear slip away. How is he going to get through this without her? The deputy remembered the times they spend together: meeting eachother, going swimming, her sittingon him, raising their kits together, getting seperated, finding eachother again...and then the last time they were alone. The words they had spoken -"Might be our last time together alone." They even had spoken of his death. And here he was now, alive as ever, while she wasn't. They should have spoken of her death.


    Why now? Why not when they are elders? Why not together? It hurt him more than it hurt anyone else. They will never understand.

    Springkit purred at her sister turned to the deputy seeing sadness in him. She padded over to him laying down beside him. "what wrong?" she meowed not liking him upset though she knew he was upset for good reason but still she looked at the tiny kit at his paws then back at him.

    Breathpaw nodded at her father, fighting the tears that threatened to fall again at the thought of her mother. To take her mind off of it, she focused on all the kits. Her gaze was no longer painful, but thoughtful, and even happy as she watched them explore and play. Her green eyes twinkled as a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

    Coralkit watched Springkit and padded over to the deputy also. "Thank you...?" she said softly, trying in her own little way to think him for what he did. Her mother had told her stories about the deputy and leader. Coralkit may not understand what was going on, but she knew he was said and Onesky was with StarClan.

    Cougareyes blinked away the tear and shook his head at Springkit and Coralkit. "I'm f-fine. You guys should go sleep. It's late."

    Springkit didn't want to go sleep just yet but did as she was told she turned when she heard something from Skyliekit.


    Skyliekit slowly opened her eyes looking around her baby blue eyes glowing she turned looking at her father meowed at her father not even flinching away from her father, just moving closer to him.

    Clearkit's little tail flicked back and forth as she whatched her sister. Lightly she slinked over to her sister and nudged her before mewing, "C'mon, do what he says.." Before slowly slinking back to her mothers side.

    Cougareyes, who's head was still over Skyliekit's, lifted as he saw Springkit watched his daughter. His eyes brightened when he saw her tiny blue eyes open, giving a little smile. Can she hear? "Hey there."

    Snowwater purred a little remembering how happy it is when the kits meet their mile stones. "Come and sleep and fed little ones." she meowed gently to her three kits, Marshkit, Springkit and Clearkit.


    The black smoke she-kit purred when she saw the kit open her eyes then padded back to her mother nursing as she was hungry now. She yawned once she finished nursing curling up into a ball beside her mother falling asleep quickly.


    Skyliekit looked to her father watching him. All she did was meow at him stretching her tiny paws out to him. Her blue eyes where just studying him as if she didn't want to forget him, he was the most important thing to her.
