    Austin heard the doorbell ring. "I better go." He open the window and jump out then flew to his house.

    Alice barely got out a ' goodbye ' before he was gone. Her dad walked in just as she heard her window close. " Hey, Al. Woah, you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost... " he said. " No, I'm fine, you just scared me. I was zoned out when you came in. " she told him. " Sorry, i got distracted, didn't make you dinner. You want anything in particular? " she asked. " Nah, you look pretty tired. I'll take care of it. 'Night, honey. " he said, and she raced upstairs to her room.

    Austin watch as it turn dark. Of course he was wide awake. He went outside and climb up a tree. He look up at the moon. He jumped out of the tree and started to walk. He saw a cop car and rolled his eyes turning around. Of course they stopped him and ask him question like he was some creeper. "I'm in highschool officer, I'm no creeper...Like everyone of you think I am." Austin whisper the last part. The officer stared. "Fine but if I fine you out again tomorrow I'm bringing you in ok?" He started his car and drived away. Austin rolled his eyes. He started to walk again.

    Alice watched the cop and Austin from her window with a small smile. She opened her window wide to let in some fresh air and got dressed for bed, then flopping down on her bed and falling asleep.

    Austin watched the cop drive away. He looked at the ground then looked up. He saw Alice window open. He flew up and saw her sleeping in bed. He smile and sat down in a chair in her room. "Alice you up?" He whisper.

    Alice jerked upright, very conscious that she was only in her bra, underwear, and a t-shirt. " Um. Yeah. " she breathed, not wanting to let her dad know what was happening.

    "Sorry, I know it's weird seeing me in your house at night...I just came here if that makes you feel a little better....Just got pulled over by the cops and got kinda mad....I don't know talking to you kinda makes me feel better about my self that I'm not some kinda of creeper or vampire.." He whisper. He rubbed his head.

    Alice pulled the blankets up around her, hoping to cover herself more. " Well, I'm glad to help with anything you want. " she said. God, I sound like an idiot. I have a gorgeous guy in my room, and i can only hope that my dad doesn't notice. What is wrong with me? she thought.

    Austin smile. "Your worry about your dad...It's fine I'll be going..." Austin whisper. He went towards the window, then stop walking. He turn around and kissed her on the forehead. "Goodnight." He smile and flew out the window.

    Alice gasped slightly, but he was already gone. She fell back onto her pillows, a huge stupid grin on her face. To heck with the girl in first period! she thought. She told herself that the sooner she fell asleep the sooner she could see him again. She closed her eyes and the next thing she knew the sunlight was hitting her face through her window and her dad's police cruiser was rumbling out of the driveway.

    Austin got dress. He was kinda glad it was the weekend. He grabbed a jacket and walked outside. He heard sounds in the forest, he turn around to see nothing. He kept walking. The sounds stayed, He finally search around but found nothing. He rolled his eyes and started to walk again. He sat down by a tree and stared at the sky.

    Alice groaned, the sunlight momentarily blinding her. She clomped downstairs in her t-shirt and panties, walking into the kitchen and taking out the box of lucky charms and pouring herself a bowl, taking it to the couch and flipping on spongebob, having nothing else to do. She slowly ate her cereal a spoonful at a time, blinking sleep out of her eyes.

    Austin moved once the sunlight hit. He put his hood on. He kept walking intil he saw a group of guys. He rolled his eyes and hope he could just pass them. But they stopped him. They push him on the shoulder. Austin try to keep his cool, intil one punch him in the face. He grabbed one of the guy arm throwing them. He looked at the other. "Leave or that will happen to you!" He hissed. All the rest ran. He looked at the guy he thrown. He rubbed his head and ran to Alice house. He knock on the door. "Alice you there!" he called out.

    Alice's eyes widened. " Y-yeah!!!! Hold on, let me get some pants on!!! " she said without thinking. She silently cursed herself, then threw her empty bowl in the sink and raced upstairs, pulling on some sweatpants and flying back down the stairs, nearly tripping and face-planting, then threw open the door, straightening her shirt. " Hi, " she said, breathless.

    Austin gave a fake smile and walked in and sat down. He cover his face with his hands. "I'm a monster." He mumbled. He looked up. "Some guy punch me in the face and I......took him by the arm and threw him....." Austin rubbed his head. He cover his face with his hands again.

    Alice sat down by him. " Austin, you're not a monster. Those guys shoudln't have been threatening you in the first place, and I'm sure you tried to avoid them. Besides..... It's not all that unlikely that you were just a really buff guy who was defending himself .... I mean, it wasn't your fault. " she said, putting a hand on his arm, wishing he would listen to her. Mother of God, I'm sitting on a loveseat with a gorgeous vampire. she thought. Hm. I guess blending in didn't work.... And I'd always though I was really boring and..... Background-ish... she sighed to herself. She'd never been exceptional at anything, unless reading counted. No boy had ever taken an interest in her, although she herself was another story.... And what was she doing?! She was so conceited, thinking of herself only when Austin needed help. " It wasn't your fault. " she reapeated, trying to clear her head to no avail.
