    TRANSPARENT:
    Color the places where you want it transparent a random color that is different from all the other colors.
    Go to lunapic.com/editor/.
    Go down a little and click the browse button.
    Open the picture.
    Press upload.
    The picture should be on the screen right now.
    Scroll over Edit in the top left.
    Select Transparent on the menu.
    Click the random color.
    Wait for it to remove it.
    Then, after it is finished, the selected color should be transparent.
    Scroll down and press save as(or something similar to that.).
    Save it, then upload it on a image hosting site. Viola!

    :) Oh. Have you tried Tinypic? In my opinion, it is a lot simpler to use than Photobucket. You don't even need to make an account. But if you want to upload a GIMP image on Tinypic(or maybe also Photobucket) you need to export it into another image file...because the host doesn't know .xcf, which is what GIMP saves your work as.
    Anyway...to export on GIMP you do:
    File --> Export --> .png(best image file in my opinion) --> Export --> Okay (I think that's what it says.)
