"Oh thank god!" Mathew yelped, then grew quiet.

Zane nodded. "She is awake if you want to see her" the doctor stated.

Aimi was laying in a bed in the corner of the room, wake and drowsy.

"Aimi.." He whispered, walking over.

Aimi looked up at him and frowned, "I'm still... alive aren't I?" she said with dismay.

"Yeah." He grumbled, staring at her.

She looked at him, "Mathew are you... alright?"

"Why?" He asked, holding back tears.

"You sound... sad..." she told him.

"I-I'm fine." He lied, looking away.
