    A powerful, well-muscled mountain lion prowled just up ahead, beyond the bush. It looked quite skinny and he was able to deduce that hunting probably hadn't been going well for it lately. However, its muscles were still toned and its claws were still sharp. The cougar could quite easily rip any of his wolves apart. It hadn't quite scented them yet, but it was heading straight toward the pack. Without a growl of warning, Sebastian leapt out of the bush, immediately aiming for its throat.

    The cougar yowled in pain, bucking in an attempt to throw off the wolf. It raised a massive paw and swiped at where Sebastian had just been. The dark wolf seemed to be moving faster than possible and he again aimed for its throat. It would look a bit too suspicious if he were able to kill or drive it off too quickly so he easily bid his time.

    Flame pounced on the couger, biting on to it's back.

    Malari jumped back on its back and clawed its shoulder, he then jumped off before it reared again. He took a deep breath. It's so hard to control. He thought.

    The cougar had evidently had enough of being attacked by a troop of ferocious wolves. Before it could fully make its escape, Sebastian darted after it, giving it one last nip and a warning growl. It obviously wouldn't be coming back any time soon. He gave a shake of his dark pelt and quickly examined his pack. "Now then...I'm sure we have enough prey for today so let us head back?"

    Sebastian headed back up hill towards the cave where their home lie. He had traveled this path so many times that he could literally travel it with his eyes closed. Today had already proven to be quite a busy day with all the panther hunting. It was already about mid-day and he had barely gotten around to patrolling the territory yet.

    Kiyeri and Malari looked after the cougar, relieved.


    That was so hard. Malari thought.


    I can't believe I could hold it in. Kiyeri thought as they followed Sebastian. "Ayoe tsalum." Kiyeri barked to Malari.

    The two were muttering to themselves behind him, as usual. He still had no idea what they were really talking about but it never seemed to involve him or the pack so he didn't mind. They reached the camp and Sebastian headed straight toward the kill of the day. He wasn't really much of an eater and daintily tore off several pieces of meat before looking around the camp once more. They didn't have anymore warriors to spare so it looked like he might have to patrol by himself.

    "On patrol? It's fine if you don't want to. You're free to rest here. After all, today has been quite busy." Sebastian stated simply. He was quite capable of patrolling most of the territory by himself, anyway.
