    "Alright, that's fine," Carnagesong muttered. This was the most he had ever talked to two other cats, he wasn't one for talking and definitely not mingling. He watched the two cats, getting up on his large paws.

    Embershard nodded to Carnagesong. "Perhaps you would like to lead? I'm not too good at navigating around these mountains." She admitted. Well, that was true. The black and orange cat blended in more with the shadows cast by the trees in the pine forest. She wasn't really built for hunting on more mountainous terrain but they had probably over-hunted in the forest for the day already.[/fancypost]

    "Okay, I do know this place better than any cat considering I'm one of the oldest cat's living here besides Tallyheart," Carangesong meowed, padding off towards the entrance solemnly. He ducked through the entrance and out into a small fores that was part of their home. He sat down and quietly waited for the two other cats to join him.

    Embershard realized that the older tom was right. Even their leader was younger than him. Then again, Hawkstar had always been quite young and was probably the youngest leader the Clan had ever had. She kept pace with Carnagesong, waiting for them to continue onto the mountains.[/fancypost]

    Embershard followed Carnagesong silently, her ears pricked for any sound of prey. An eagle called up ahead, and her yellow eyes tracked the large bird of prey. It was circling...circling....there! The massive, winged creature was now perched on a small tree up ahead. Thankfully, it had not caught sight of the little patrol of cats yet.     Embershard followed suit, her tail streaming out behind her. The eagle gave a squawk of alarm and spread its wings, ready to take flight. However, Embershard was faster. The orange-speckled she-cat launched herself in the air, claws outstretched, ready to dig into the eagle's wings.

    The tomcat leapt after her, snagging his long sharp claws into the eagle's wings, hoping to take it to the ground. His gold eyes gaze into the eagle's as the wings were froze in place by the two cats holding them.

    The hunters and their prey plummeted to the ground but Embershard did not loosen her grip. She pinned the large bird down and sunk her canines into its throat. The eagle put up a valiant struggle, but in the end, the two cats had won. Scarlet blood was dripping from her maw but overall, she looked quite pleased with herself. "I don't think any cat's been able to catch an eagle in ages!"
