Inhaling and exhaling Clover was having a painful time. "no kidding." she muttered her blue eyes looking at her crooked leg. Trying to get up Clover fell over again with a smaller yelp. Narrowing her blue eyes at her back leg. "This sucks." She stated blandly.

Kai turned to the black wolf beside him. "What should we do? We have a wounded dog on our territory. Well, I must admit she did fight quite well but what are we supposed to do with her? Do we just leave her?"

• Coal muttered something under his breath before speaking. "Well it depends. Normally, if you were in our pack, we would take you to camp and try to heal you. If we couldn't, well we'd leave you for dead. But you're not in our pack, so the first step doesn't really apply to you." he said. It wasn't a pretty process, having to leave an injured pack member for dead, but it was survival of the fittest after all.

• Coal simply looked at him with his piercing green eyes. "So can everyone in our pack. Besides, there's no way our pack leader would ever allow a dog to join." he told Kai. They already had plenty of members, and the dog had broken a leg, which made her vulnerable. Coal tried to imagine what the Alpha would say, and he wasn't pleased.

Personally, Kai agreed with everything he said but it wasn't in his nature, even if he was a loner, to leave someone who had helped him to die. "That's true but she just risked her life to help us. I don't think we should just leave her there."

• Coal shook his head at the persistent wolf. "If we take her to the pack, they'll kill her. Do you want that to happen to her?" he asked simply, his voice in the same tone as he always spoke. He sat down, hoping that the lighter furred wolf would understand that there was no way she could join the pack.

"Well, we could always find a way to help her now." He proposed, although he knew full well that he had no idea how to treat a wolf. Kai didn't even know how to treat a simple cut! "There's no way she can hunt for herself."

• "I'm not a healer and neither are you." Coal replied simply. If Coal let his emotions show, he would appear anxious and frustrated. He needed to get back to the pack, for he had one mission, and that was to be there when the wolves escaped. After the objective was completed, Coal had been told to return as soon as possible. Sadly, under the current circumstances, Coal would not arrive very soon at all.

"I'm aware of that fact." Kai snapped for the first time at the younger wolf. "But there are some ways we could help her. I'm pretty sure if she rests, then it'll heal on its own." He pointed out. "However, she cannot catch her own prey."

• "And you propose we hunt for her?" Coal figured, not too eager to do so. He stared at the older wolf, expecting Kai to give a speech on how doing the right thing was best. Coal did not approve of that belief, for he knew that sometimes the wrong thing was what kept you alive. Simple as that. To Coal's disappointment, however, Kai seemed to have sympathy for others.

Clover
Watching back and forth as Clover heard their conversation. Growing frustrated herself as pain filled her whole being "Will you two snap it shut? I don't need to join a wolf pack who thinks dogs are worthless. In fact I DON'T WANT TO. But I refuse to just lay here and die. You two can help me up or let me die. One or the other." The tone of her voice was stern and persistent as she laid on her side half way propped up. Clenching her teeth from the pain as her blue eyes were brighter and even more intense looking like the sky before lightening struck.

• "You staying alive practically depends on us. Should you really be ordering us around like that?" Coal reasoned, not liking the female dog's tone. After all, she was the one lying on the ground helpless wasn't she? Coal laid down and rested his head on his paws, a bit tired after the fight and overall trip. He certainly did not feel like hunting, especially for someone else. He would let Kai do the hunting for her, and Coal would head back to his pack.

•
Clover
Narrowing her blue eyes Clover growled "I'm just telling you, your only to options and I want to know the answer." The pain began to increase making her snappy. Seeing him lay down as if nothing was important except him and his stupid pack Clover tried to get up again. Still fumbling and wobbly on her knees as her teeth clenches shut from the pain. After a step Clover fell on the grown again with a sharp yelp as tears came to her eyes.

• Coal raised his head as Clover attempted to get up. He sighed when he saw she couldn't. "You probably shouldn't do that if it causes so much pain." he said simply, stating the obvious. Coal's back still ached from the hard landing and he had the usual scrapes and bruises that any wolf got when they fought, but it was obvious the dog was in bad shape.

•
Clover
Ignoring the black wolf Clover found herself trying again as her mind tried to block out the pain. Not trying to set weight on it tried to get up again with the help of a nearby fir. Grabbing it between her mouth helped yank herself up. As soon as she was upright for a few seconds let her body readjust. Blinking heavily as her jaw stayed clenched shut did one paw forward slowly so as not to lose her balance. Seeing that'd it work than hopping found herself making small progress but as the blood kept flowing to her broken leg, Clover found it more painful than ever to measure her steps evenly. Sniffing as the smell of herbs wafted her way she looked around trying to find it as her striking blue eyes scanned the area.

• Ooc: I lost this thread for a while D:

Coal's emerald eyes widened as he saw the dog get up. He could tell she was in a lot of pain, and he watched attentively to see if she would fall again. To his surprise, she stayed upright. Coal realized she must have been pretty strong to be able to get up with a broken leg; most wolves wouldn't be able to do that. He had to admit, he was impressed by the female's determination. "What are you looking for?" he asked her, seeing her sniff through the various plants.

•
Clover
Keeping her back leg up as it twisted in a funny angle said in a gruff pain filled voice "Herbs." Keeping her blue eyes scanning the surrounding area as she only found a few things. Clover slowly moved at an inch by inch pace as her mouth was clenched shut with a determined expression. Keeping her nose low without lowering herself to much sniffed looking for poppyseeds and cob webs.

• Coal understood that herbs would probably be best if her injury was to get any better. In the pack, a few wolves knew about the various plants that could be used to treat wounds, so they were the ones who usually took care of the pack members who were in pain. Coal himself had never been one of those wolves, he was usually the one being treated, especially after a battle.

Sighing, a cloud of frosty breath appearing as he did so, Coal managed to get up although his bones were tired and sore. Coal figured that if the dog had had enough determination to get up through the pain, she should at least have a little help. It was unlike his usual self to help out someone who wasn't his pack member, but he was bored and distinguishing the different herbs was a useful skill to know.

A chilly breeze passed over the forest, causing branches, whose leaves had long since fallen, to rattle and shake, making it seem as though they were shivering. Dead leaves littered the ground and as Coal stepped forward they made a satisfying crunching sound below his paws.

"So what exactly are we looking for?"
