    Finally catching the fish underneath her maw jabbed her jaw into the water. When she came up as droplets floated down the fish was in her mouth. Looking cross eye'd at the fish Clover smiled brilliantly as her blue eyes assessed it. Turning around she stood frozen as two wolves were eyeing her up and down as parshall snarls covered their faces. Not letting go of the fish Clover was a statue as she just stared blankly at them surprised at herself for not noticing earlier.

    (I didn't see the word charge.. Now I do.. *sigh* she's going to have to drop her fish... or not..)


    Seeing the male charging at her quickly although it was a long ways saw it and stepped to the side lightly dropping the fish in the water. Her bright blue eyes quirked at the wolf dog as she lowered herself into a fighting stance although no threat laid in her appearance. Clover looked at the male carefully. Taking a quick glance at Coal to make sure he still sat in the same place. Resting her blue gaze back on Kai as her ears pinned back. "Hi to you to?" Her voice asked rather annoyed that she had to drop her fish.

    Kai skidded to an abrupt charge, several inches away from the strange wolf. Why wasn't she running? He looked intimidating enough, didn't he? After all, a well-fed and well-furred wolf looked much larger than he normally was. That meant he should look like a monster charging towards her. He raised his tail and pricked his ears forward in a more dominant stance. ".....Hi...." he stuttered awkwardly, at the last moment looking back to Coal for support. This was his territory, wasn't it? He should be the one dealing with her, actually!

    Coal sighed as Kai rushed off impulsively. He walked towards the two wolves, looking over the she wolf. She looked well fed as well, and he couldn't help but wonder if she also came from the lab. When he got to them both he growled. "What are you doing on our territory?" he said, his voice low but still intimidating.

    Pinning hear ears back as her tail tucked underneath her underbelly in a submissive posture This is an actual pack member.. Glancing at Kai she could tell he was a loner by his impulsiveness but also new if he wanted to he could eat her. Clover turned back to Coal in her submissive posture bowing her head a little "I came from a strange place where two legs lock wolves or dogs like me up and use us for weird things and poke us..." Shivering from the memory Clover's eyes looked up at him pleadingly. "I just escaped and was hungry and caught sound of the river.. I didn't smell any markings..." She trailed off.

    Kai had instinctively moved behind Coal but his eyes now glimmered with guarded curiosity. So they had come from the same place? She had probably escaped after he used all of his energy in an attempt to break open the darn door.

    Beginning to glance back and forth between the wolves she couldn't help but notice how tired Kai looked and the way he regarded her after explaining. Looking at Kai she spoke softly "I used your escape as a distraction and opened the cage door with my claws." Lifting up her paw it showed blood and no claws. "I seemed to have lost them though.." A small smile on her maw was replaced with the grim line. As her blue eyes stayed on Kai stated "I'm a lucky wolf."

    Coal nodded at her submissiveness, glad she was showing some respect. "So you're both from the same place." he observed. "Well this is pack territory, so you're gonna have to leave." Rules were rules, and this was no wolf, she was a dog. His green eyes did not portray his emotions, making it hard to see what he was thinking.

    "Can I ate least get another fish?" Clover asked blinking up at him with blue eyes. The dog slowly started to unravel herself although her ears were kept pinned back. She wanted nothing but to at least regain the fish they made her lose.

    Kai let out a low growl of annoyance. What a typical dog. Using him as a distraction, waltzing into a pack land and ignoring borders, and then pleading to take their prey? At least he was mostly wolf and had little trace of dog left in him.

    Coal narrowed his eyes, turning them into emerald slits. "One fish. That's all." he said, not unreasonable. They had caused her to lose the fish after all, and he was sure that she wouldn't leave willingly until she had prey. It bugged him that they both appeared well fed and were still hungry, while he hadn't had any food. Still, he didn't let this bother him too much.

    Seeing and hearing Kai's disregard nodded "I'll live, I don't think I am welcome much longer." A slow bow was resided in her though she had no respect for Kai. Rising her blue eyes off of them trotted away growling lowly to herself. Shaking her dark furred head. "Stupid wolf." Clover murmured "When an opportunity presents itself you take it by the reins and control it and just happen to have better luck." Talking to herself as she shook her head some more still couldn't smell the territory border and didn't know when she left it. Still following the stream more upwards in hopes of prey. With her ears still pinned as an amount of hurt stayed in her chest from always being rejected.

    Kai watched the dog go, his eyes full of mistrust. "Shouldn't we track her to make sure she leaves?" He asked the black wolf next to him. "They aren't really meant to be trusted..." He stated, his eyes still fixed on the figure that was slowly disappearing from sight.

    Coal nodded, agreeing with Kai. "We follow until she leaves our territory." he said, starting to pad after the dog. Glad to be away from the water, he walked slowly. Making sure his paws didn't crunch the dead leaves below him, he carefully made his way after the dog.

    Feeling eyes on her she turned around but the forest branches and bushes were covering to much to see anything. Shaking her head once more Clover's ears pinned back and tail now hung low. Inhaling and exhaling deeply turned around and made her way forward again. Seeing the river at her side she paused for a second seeing all the fish but after her little episode lost her appetite. Moving forward slowly and quietly as almost no thoughts made their way in her head although she did say out loud almost positive no one could hear "Always drone the dog out... Never let that dog in she's a maggy mutt. 'AHH What are you doing with that THING?' Stupid dog, you think you could handle me?.. What a pathetic leech!" Copying bad sentences she's heard from any wolf that came across her. More hurt fluttered into Clover and she clamped her jaw shut holding back tears. The image of Kai's disgusted face as he heard her speak. Shaking her head vigorously tried to knock away everything. Sighing as she tried to get a grip.

    Kai followed right after Coal, who he regarded as more senior than him, careful not to put too much weight on his paws. He made sure that the dog was always within sight range when his ears detected a slight sound. Kai concentrated, knowing that he was hearing words, but he couldn't exactly make them out. "Um...she's talking to herself," the wolf-dog mumbled to Coal. "Do you think she's delusional from what the humans did?"

    Coal's ears were tilted forward so that he could hear most of the dog's comments. He said nothing, for her problems were hers and his problems were his. The sooner she left the territory the better of she would be. Or else she would probably run into more wolves whom it was obvious she felt great disdain for. Glad that his pelt helped him camoflauge in the woods' shadows, he continued to follow, hoping Kai didn't make too much noise. "Possibly."" he replied simply.

    Concentrating on her breathing the feelings slowly slide away although her posture did not change. Keeping her blue eyes trained forward as she moved sluggishly through the thickets. A slight breeze picked up rustling her fur and stinging the mark on her nose that the scientists took for DNA. Wrinkling it slightly made no noise as her small paw steps were absorbed into the pine needles on the ground. Having the feeling she was followed Clover just kept walking figuring it was the wolves from earlier making sure she left.

    Kai, intent on her trail, of course, accidentally trod on a fallen leaf. He flattened his body, hoping that if she turned around, she wouldn't catch sight of him. You know, being a well-fed wolf sometimes led to some slight problems!
