Callika followed swiftly, stopping herself from drifting into another daydream as she walked.

Liam opened the front door and waited for Callika to go in first.
-
Callika stepped in, mumbling a, "Thanks," as she looked around.
-
The inside of the mansion was huge and far more extravagant than Liam's ordinary home.
-
Callika blinked, slightly taken aback by the grandness of it all.
-
"Most of the slaves live here," Liam said as he watched her look around. "It has like... a million bedrooms." Of course he was exaggerating, but it seemed like a million rooms were in this place when he used to live here as a little kid.
-
Callika smiled slightly at the exaggeration, and nodded.
-
Liam smiled before walking towards one of the open rooms. "Dad? We're here," he called out as her stepped into the room.
-
Phoenix followed, still glancing around.
-
The room they entered had one or two paintings of a woman hanging around, but if you were to search the whole house you'd find more of them. There was a big glass door leading out to the garden, but it was closed. A man stood at the far side of the room looking outside of the glass door.
-
After looking around for a moment, Callika automatically trained her gaze on the floor in front of her.
-
The man glanced up at them as they entered. He looked a lot like Liam though he kept his dark brown hair cut close to his head and it looked as though he hadn't shaved for a while.
"Callika this is my father, Eldric Vargas. Father this is Callika," Liam said.
His father seemed to give them a look over as Liam spoke.
-
Callika looked up for a moment, staying silent.
-
Eldric walked over to them and put a hand on Liam's shoulder as if asking his son to move.
Liam was a bit reluctant, but he stepped away as his father seemed to look over Callika.
-
Callika didn't move, staring at the ground.
-
Eldric walked in a slow circle around Callika for another long moment.
Liam hated the way his father was looking at Callika, but this was what he was supposed to do and he'd done it with countless other slaves.
-
Callika felt slightly uncomfortable, but didn't move, blinking.
-
After a long moment Eldric stopped in front of Callika and smiled. "You picked out a good one, Liam."
-
Callika didn't look up, hoping that that was a good thing.
-
"I guess I'll start you out with feeding duties. Feeding times will be mornings and afternoons." Eldric paused glancing at Liam and then back at Callika. "And if you do not feel comfortable moving into here you can stay with Liam."
