Dawnglow sighed she padded at the edge of Thunderclan territory. She headed towards the lake and when she got there sat down, looking out into the water the was reflecting the moon. She smiled flicking her tail back and forth.

Lionstripe ran along the lake, heading back from his walk. It had gotten late so fast, and he hadn't kept track of time as he circled the entire lake. Just as crossed over the WindClan border, he spotted a cat sitting by the edge of the lake. He kept running until he was about twenty tail-lengths away from the cat. Padding the rest of the way, he recognized her as Dawnglow, and smiled as he came to a stop beside her and sat down looking up at the moon. "Beautiful, isn't it?" he meowed, filching his eyes across the sky to look at stars as well.
-
Dawnglow jumped in surprise as a cat sat down beside her. "Haha yes it is um... whats your name again?" she asked. She still didn't know every cat of the camp. She smiled though and the moon reflected off her eyes.
-
Lionstripe turned his bright green gaze on her and smiled back. "Lionstripe. You're Dawnglow, right?" He looked back up at the moon. It was almost full; he expected there would be a Gathering in the next few days. "What are you doing out here?"
-
Dawnglow nodded happily. "I well couldn't fall asleep," she chuckled flicking her tail tip. "And I wanted to explore more territory because I'm quite new."
-
"I know," Lionstripe mewed, watching a shooting star blaze across the sky. "You should do what I did today." He saw another one and watched it as well, wondering what StarClan cats were falling.
-
"What did you do today?" Dawnglow asked mischievously lifting up her eye brow at the tom cat. She looked back over the lake and smiled at the reflecting sky above.
-
Lionstripe shrugged and smiled. "Oh, you know, just walked around the entire lake. Nothing big," he meowed, eyes switching to look down at the distorted reflection of the moon.
-
"What? Why did you do that?" Dawnglow asked a little confused. "Wouldn't you get caught by the other clans?" The she-cat rose to her paws and padded over to the lapping waves of the lake. She bent down and lapped at the water.
-
Lionstripe smirked. "That's what's so fun about it. They can't get me in trouble unless I'm more than three tail lengths away from the shore."
-
"Oh. I guess I never heard of that yet," Dawnglow chuckled hitting her paw on the blue water, watching the ripples go out in all directions.
-
"Oh? I guess no one's told you that rule," he meowed, watching the ripples she made with her paw. "Then how about tomorrow we walk around the lake so I can show you around?"
-
"Hmmmm... sure," Dawnglow thought. She looked at thet om beside her and smiled. "Can you swim?" she asked suddenly and before he could answer she leapt behind him and shoved him playfully into the lake. She jumped in after him creating a splash.
-
Lionstripe surfaced and coughed, splashing around before his paws touched the ground. He leaped out of the water, shaking the liquid from his pelt before looking back at her. "Great StarClan! That scared me to death!" he gasped, twitching his whiskers to get water off. His pelt drooped because of it's length, and he shook himself again, making his fur stick up.
-
Dawnglow chuckled and paddled around the water. As a loner she had learned to swim and rather quite enjoyed it. She found a shallower part in the water and sat down. She twitched her ear and a few drops of water went flying off. Her whiskers twitched in amusement.
-
Lionstripe sat down and started grooming his fur down, trying to get most of the water from his pelt. He glanced up at her as she chuckled and flicked his tail at her. "What are you laughing at?" he murmured, hot with embarrassment. He continued to lick his flanks and back until his fur was smooth, then groomed his tail down to its smooth self. Lastly he began grooming his chest.
-
"Oh nothing," she meowed, her whiskers still twitching. She lifted her wet paw out of the lake water and rubbed it over her eyes and nose, getting all the dust off. "Has anyone even tried swimming across the whole lake? Like a Riverclan cat?" she asked curious.
-
Lionstripe stopped grooming and sat up, shaking his head. "Of course not. It's one thing to walk around it; other cats can help you if something happens," he meowed. "But swimming...if you were in the middle of the lake, I'd say your chances of drowning are almost absolute."
-
Dawnglow shrugged her shoulders and got to her paws without saying anything. She smiled as she slowly walked out of the cold water and shook her fur out.
-
"Hey!" Lionstripe yowled, jumping back at the feel of water. Then he smirked playfully and tackled her, rolling them around so they were covered in dust. He stood up and easily shook the dirt from his pelt since it was pretty much dry.
