Asterkit's head popped out of the middle of the fresh kill pile, looking bemused but pleased. "I won?" he asked. Wow. He didn't think he'd ever won anything before.

Letterkit, now not caring about his loss, bounced over to his brother. "Yup! And now I'm going to find you guys, okay?"

"Yup, you won! It's Letterkit's turn to hunt for us now," said Orchidblood, then she looked at Letterkit. "Whenever you're ready."

"But I don't know where to hide anymore." the fawn ticked tabby tom kit mewed woefully, looking around hopelessly.

"Well, if you guys are done I'm going out to hunt," said Orchidblood. "Then I want to get back to my family."

"Can I come?" Asterkit asked, pouncing for Orchidblood's tail at the feel for the fun.

Letterkit tumbled over to Orchidblood, unable to control his giggles of excitement. "Yeah, can I come too Orchidblood?"

"Well...you're a little young to start hunting yet, but I can bring you out on a walk on the moors if it's okay with your mother," said Orchidblood. "Let's wait till she comes back."

Letterkit tilted his head to the side, confused. "Until she comes back? Where'd Mom go, Orchidblood?"

"She went hunting," said Orchidblood. "That's why we decided to go play something."

Eastpaw plodded back into camp, holding three mice in her jaws by the tail. She sauntered over to her family and Orchidblood. "Ey."

"Mom!" Asterkit staggered towards her, Orchidblood forgotten at the sight of his mother.

"Hi, how'd the hunt go?" said Orchidblood.

"Hey darling," Eastpaw purred to Asterkit. "Dont run so quickly.." she chided lovingly. "Oh it was relieving! Gah, Ive been so tense lately, I really needed to get out."

Letterkit was just about answer Orchidblood when Asterkit sped over to their mother, and excitement washed away his reply. He scrambled over to Eastpaw, looking at the mice with large hazel eyes. "Woah! Mom, did you catch all of those?!"

"See, what'd I tell you. I knew it would do you good. I want to get out myself...maybe find where Skitterpaw went." Orchidblood frowned. "Haven't seen him since the Gathering."
Skitterpaw would be warrior age now, or just about. What had seemed like a large age gap originally, now would be quite small, and it wouldn't matter at all once both were warriors.

"Yeah I did, impressed?" she asked her cutest kit. "I was actually wondering where Skitterpaw was the other day. Seems he stole you from me," she teased.

"I knew him before I even met you," said Orchidblood, purring.

"Impressed?!" burst out Letterkit, bouncing up and down on his paws as if to get a closer look at Eastpaw's catches. "Totally! It's so cool!"

"Hungry? You can have one," She replied to Asterkit. She looked at Orchidblood and pouted. "Now your just makin me feel bad," she mewed. Although she didnt really feel bad, she simply smiled and nodded.
