"Is BloodClan a bad place?" Asterkit asked Orchidblood quietly. He felt kind of scared for some reason, and his fawn ticked tabby fur was on edge.

"Yes." Orchidblood spoke without hesitation. "They attacked our clan twice. One time they captured my mother while she was still pregnant with me and Bridgefall and torrentpaw."
-
"Oh." Asterkit mewed softly. That really didn't seem very good at all. "I don't wanna be BloodClan!" he wailed.
-
"You're not," said Orchidblood gently. "You're born here, and to your mother...the Bloodclan cats also mostly came from other clans too."
-
Asterkit was now really confused. "But you just said we were."
-
"Your father was in bloodclan, yes," said Orchidblood. "But it doesn't make you bad. What we do in life makes us good or bad. That's why I feel you should be allowed to stay here. But it's up to Scarredstar."
-
"Oh." Asterkit sighed and looked at his paws. "I'd miss you, if we have to go, you know." he said earnestly.
-
"I'll miss you all so much, too," said Orchidblood. And meanwhile it was all being prolonged. The older they were when they had to go, the worse it would be.
-
Letterkit scrambled over to Orchidblood, smiling faintly at the older she-cat. "But we won't go, Orchidblood! And if we do, can we take you with us?"
-
"I have to stay here," said Orchidblood. "My family needs me."
-
Shinepaw hesitated as he approached, uncertainty on his red tabby face. "Uh. Am I interrupting?" He asked, feeling rather lame at the words. It had been too long since he'd just... hung out with his friends. He winced at the thought that they had interacted more during the Bloodclan battle and the journey home.

ooc: Welcome to my Windclan threads, Chris :)
ic: "No! Uh, come right over. Anyone's welcome." Orchidblood's black whiskers gave a twitch, but she was genuinely happy to see him. "How've you been?"
-
Asterkit sighed, but was glad for the distraction of Shinepaw. "Who're you?"
-
Letterkit bounded over to his brother's side, looking up at Shinepaw with huge eyes as the issue of leaving left his mind. "Yeah, who're you? Will you play with us?"
-
((OOC| LOL I am stalking you! No actually I just had a big read through of WC threads last night and threw some characters in for some interaction!))
Shinepaw looked down at Letterkit and felt a small smile tug on the corners of his mouth. He hadn't known much about kits until his sister's had come along recently. "Um... well, been busy. My sister - she had kits." And she refuses to look after them properly.
-
"My mom did to!" Asterkit announced, pointing to himself and his brother Letterkit. "She had us. And some more, but I dunno where they are." He nodded, like he desperately wanted to find something in common with Shinepaw. Maybe he thought if he got enough cats that wanted him here, they'd get to stay.
-
ooc: finally back from my weekend trip! xP my threads are so neglected ._.
ic: Eastpaw licked Orchidblood's cheek to show she wasnt mad at what she had revealed. She grinned broadly, "Shinepaw! Its been ages! Where ya been?" She nodded to Hawktalon, "yes Id like you to come with.. And anyone else who wants to. Orchidblood? Shinepaw?" Maybe a group vouching for her and her kits would finally convince Scarredstar.
-
"Sure," said Orchidblood, grinning a little more at Eastpaw. Hey, there was no point in staying mopey.
-
"Who'll play with us then?" squealed Letterkit, looking up at the older cats with big hazel eyes. "Everyone's busy..."
-
"Maybe it's time to get something to eat, then you guys can just go play around in camp, with other kits," said Orchidblood. "Really, you're old enough to do as you like in camp as long as you mind the general rules."
