Hawktalon stretched his lithe frame out, deciding that it was high time he went and visited his "family." The tom padded over to the nursery, peeking his head inside. "Eastpaw, Orchidblood, you guys in here?"

ooc: are we at the nursery? lol xD
ic: "Oh, hey Papa," Eastpaw meowed to Hawktalon. "I just went out for a hunt, hungry?"
-
OOC: Either way - that would be where he checks first.
Hawktalon heard the call of Eastpaw. He turned and looked to her happy face. It wasn't too often he'd seen the she-cat look so...peaceful. Had something been decided then? "Hey there. What's up?" As for the offer of food, he glanced at the meager catches - not that he was judging Eastpaw. He couldn't expect anybody to hunt as perfectly as he could. "I'm not hungry, thank you though."
-
"Nothin much, like I said I just got done hunting," Eastpaw mewed in response. She looked at Orchidblood, "but Orchidblood and Asterkit here were playing something right?"
-
"Don't feel bad," purred Orchidblood. "He's not here now is he?"
-
Asterkit looked at the lovely pieces of prey his mother had caught. "Really? I can have one?" he asked, quivering.
-
Hawktalon sauntered over to the she-cats and the kits, settling down beside Eastpaw. "Have you spoken to Scarredstar at all, yet?"
-
Letterkit bounded over to Hawktalon, looking up at the warrior. "Hi Hawktalon!"
-
"She spoke to him some time ago," said Orchidblood. "Few days ago. It didn't go well."
-
Hawktalon purred and leaned down to press his nose to the kits. When Orchidblood answered his question, however, his purr was cut short and he winced. "How bad?"
-
"He said she couldn't stay," said Orchidblood. She didn't go into the details of why she thought Eastpaw had failed so badly.
-
Oh great. Now just had to be the one time Letterkit listened to the conversation of his elders. "Can't stay?" he squeaked, hurt and horror in his hazel eyes. "We... we have to leave? Mom?"
-
"What?" Asterkit's ears perked up -- more by his sister's inference than by the adult's actual conversation. "Leave?" The fawn ticked tabby tom kit mewed, clearly confused. "We're leaving?" He looked from Letterkit to Orchidblood, hoping for conprehension to dawn on him.
-
"I don't know," said Orchidblood. "I heard some of you also went to see Scarredstar about it and discuss it with him. I don't know what was decided. If anything, yet."
-
Letterkit's questions hadn't been answered, and that bothered him. Were they ignoring him?! Having not heard Asterkit, he looked over at his brother and whimpered, "I don't want to leave WindClan..."
-
"I know," said Orchidblood. "I don't want you to have to leave, either."
-
As if on cue, Diamondkit padded over to her mother, Eastpaw.
"Mother, Scarredstar wishes to see you, I think he's reconsidering, so long as you prove our heritage."
She wasn't truly sure if they had windclan blood, she was simply following what Echokit had said.
-
"Orchidblood, tell Scarredstar to let us stay!" cried Letterkit.
-
"I can't do that," said Orchidblood. "He's my leader. I can't tell him what to do. What do you mean by prove your heritage? Far as I know you're not Windclan by blood at all."
-
Diamondkit shrugged. She was afterall, a naive kit. "Echokit said we were!" She protested, gazing at her mother, as if to prove it true.
