Scorch tilted his head to the side, studying the lifted paw. "It does look quite mangled." He mused, standing up and flicking the tip of his tail. "But the only place poppy seeds grow are in the park, and that's about half a day's journey from where we are now. You look a little tired; think you can handle the pain for the night?" He asked, feeling concern for how ragged the poor cat looked. "I have a comfortable enough place away from all the commotion of the night streets where you can sleep, if you'd like?" He asked, padding forward a bit and waiting for his reply.

[font=georgia]The smaller cat looked at his opposite with widened eyes, he didn't really know whether he could trust him, but something inside him told him to. He yawned, realising that he was probably more tired than he thought. 'As long as it's not too far.' he said with a small smile. He tested his paw on the ground and felt the red hot pain shoot up his leg with a small cry of pain. He frowned looking up at the other cat with large blue eyes.
Then tried to stand, the pain was numbing his leg slowly, a reaction he was glad to have as it meant that he could walk on it no matter how awkward it looked. He took a few paces towards Scorch to test it, their was a slight limp to it but nothing was tested or broken. He attempted a small light smile at the other cat. 'Okay it's fine' He said with another forced smile.

Scorch looked at Snowsong, concern plainly visible on his face. Scorch turned away slightly, confused at how he could always hide his emotions so easily and asking himself what was different about this cat. He turned back to Snowsong, dipping his head. "We'll go slow. Tell me if your paw acts up, ok?" He asked softly, before turning and padding over to the edge of the roof. "Getting there will involve some jumping." He pointed out, shooting an apologetic glance over his shoulder before jumping onto the next roof. All the roofs were close together in easy jumping distance, thankfully. Scorch went slow for his injured companion.

[font=georgia]Snowsong gave a small sigh, Of course it involved jumping, just my luck! He followed the other cat with brace limping pawsteps. 'I'll be fine' he said though his voice held no ounce of confidence. He made the first small but brace leap and landed with a stagger and a grimace on the roof of the next building across. He looked up at his new friend, or at least he assumed he was, though Snowsongs assumptions had been wrong before. He looked away quickly before the other cat realised he was staring.
The injured white cat had landed closer than he intended to the other cat, their pelts brushed as he straightened his legs. The touch felt odd, it tingled almost like his pelt was electric. He had to stop the look of confusion and slight joy from appearing across his face. He stepped away quickly. The looked back at the other cat hot with embarrassment. 'Erm.. where now?' he said his voice quiet and soft.

Scorch's pelt tingled as Snowsong's fur brushed up against him. He supressed the immediate rush of joy he felt, and bent his head to give his chest a few nervous licks to hide his embarassment. "A few more roofs we have to cross first." He meowed apologetically as he set off briskly, confusing emotions welling inside him as he crossed a few more roofs quickly.
He snaked down the side of a fire escape, leaping onto the cold, wet pavement. He turned and waited for Snowsong before continuing
