Leaf yawned and went to the fk pile, grabbed a piece of prey and brought it back, starting to eat. As she started to eat, she felt a kick in her stomach and she froze. She turned and nuzzled her belly, and another kick replied. Her eyes widened and she silently ate.

Raleigh moaned and rolled onto his paws. He sleepily batted his eyes, and swiped at the course neck fur as he always did.

Leaf was silent.

He yawned and looked at her.

SNow padded in and looked at the two. Something's not right She thought.

Leaf hesitated before looking at Raleigh. "I have to tell you something...." she whispered.

Shade was lying in the medicine den, her side not rising again.

Lily woke, and padded out, remembering her mother. She started to tear up.

SHadow had went too the camp and stayed in the growlers den not eating or moving.

Shade was still for a very critical time.

He whimpered waking up but stayed on his stomach.

Shade was like that for a long time....

Shadow didnt't move.

Finally, Shade's breathing started again, but really slow.

Snow went into the medicine den and smiled a little seeing Shade breath softly.

"Yes?" he replied, tilting his head.

Snow took off the moss and put a new fresh batch of cobwebs that were thick, then went to her nest and curled in it watching Shade.

"Well...it's just...that...I'm.......," she stammered. "Expecting cubs..." she finished more quietly.

Shade's eyes had been closed for days.

Lily came into the medicine den. "Can I curl up with her?" she asked Snow with a tiny voice.

Raleigh stared at her for a moment, then jumped to his paws, bouncing around like a cub.

Leaf watched him.

"Thats so great!" he shouted, calming himself to lick her nose.

Leaf purred loudly, with a slight giggle when he shouted.
