    Skye sighed and nodded "Sure, hang on" she walked to the kitchen and came back with a glass of water "Here"


    Callum chuckled "As long as im touching you, fire wont hurt you, look" he stopped in mid air and put a flaming hand on hers.

    He nodded "yeah, sorry" he smiled and quickly moved his hand away, heading home.

    "I hope you don't mind me asking-" he said suddenly "but what happened to your dad?"

    Em was quiet for a moment. Finally, she said, "A long time ago, when I was about 11 years old, I got my claws. Dad had sent me to this underground hospital, under a hospital in downtown Boston. But it wasn't Dad that really sent me there. When I returned to me and my dad's apartment..he wasn't there. I don't know what happened to him."

    "You mean someone imposed as your dad?" He questioned with a slight confused look.

    Alex sipped the water. "Give me the bandages." he said when he noticed the blood seeping through. "You put too little. I know how to patch myself."

    Callum nodded and couldn't help thinking of Mystique so he looked away and carried on.


    "Well I wasn't done when you decided to choke me" she said, getting the bandages and giving them to him.

    "Why would someone impose as Dad?" Em wondered aloud. "I mean, he's always been uptight about the whole adamantium-implant proceduce, and he made it clear that he didn't want me to go through the same pain as him...so why would he suddenly change his mind and then disappear? The only thing that had disappeared with him was..." She paused. His adamantium-skeleton X-Ray sheets, stolen originally from the Alkali Lake Compound..

    "I'll live" skye winked and smiled slightly to lighten the mood.


    Callum shrugged "I know a shapeshifter that does things like that, but only really cause she follows orders" he said, refferring to Mystique who was still alive.

    "I know." Em seemed focused on something in the distance, although she was only really thinking. "Do you think it was her?" Why would Mystique take the lab reference papers?

    He shrugged "I guess skye would know but she probably wouldn't tell too easily."

    "Whoever it is, they're also the reason why I'm like..this." She swept hands at the lower half of her body to demonstrate, looking angry at herself, oddly. "I didn't get the same special treatment my dad did when he got his adamantium claws."

    "What do you mean? I see nothing wrong with you?" He smiled awkwardly.
