  • Goldenpaw giggled again, the loud purr continuing to rumble in her throat. "About h-how loud we're actually p-purring!" She smiled at Grasstail. "I-it sounds like there are m-more then just the two of u-us out here!"

  • "Yeah it sounds like a whole clan I bet." Grasstail purred softer now.

  • Grasstail relaized how akward this must be, but for some reason or another it didn't matter.

  • She set her head down onto her paws, still gazing over at Grasstail. Her purr was still going as loud as it could go.

  • Grasstail knew Goldenpaw was looking at him and looked at her. He smiled.

  • The tabby smiled back. She was surprised that she was able to act this way; actually talk and laugh and smile without feeling the least bit shy. Although, her stuttering was as bad as ever.
Maybe it was because they were friends. But then again, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more.

  • "What would you think if I liked you?" Grasstail meowed instanely knowing that probably sounded super dumb.

  • The tabby apprentice's eyes widened at this, while her heart gave a loud ba-thump. Why was he saying this?

Goldenpaw gulped, now looking away from Grasstail. "I-I'm not sure." She mewed softly.

  • Goldenpaw's eyes widened even further, but she continued to stare straight at the ground and not at Grasstail. He... he liked her? But she was an apprentice, and he was a warrior! There was a big difference!

Even so, there was that small nagging in the back of the apprentice's mind that told her that she liked him back. She didn't say it thought, just keeping silent.

  • Finally having the nerve to speak, Goldenpaw mewed softly, "I-... I like you to. G-Grasstail."

  • She liked him back! "Really?" Grasstail meowed not knowing what to say really.
