Quetzalkit blinked in confusion as to why the ending was so quick but shook her head clear when he sister asked her a question. "Hmm. I dunno... You want to go explore the territory?" the silver kit asked, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Quetzalkit caught the look in her sister's eyes and smiled. "Well, if you insist. Who are we to deny her a 'fun' time?" the silver tabby purred in response.

Brownpaw decided to hunt instead of lying in her big tree. She saw a thrush and was about to pounce on it, when a big orange tabby caught it first! Startled, Brownpaw jumped back. "Wait a moment...Brownie?! Is that you!?" The fluffy orange tabby asked. "Jasper! How did you get here?" He had lived in the twoleg nest in front of hers. "My twolegs got a dog, and they let me out of the house. But enough about me, where have you been? We all thought you were dead!" Brownpaw grinned. "I got lost on my first trip out. One of these clan cats found me, and I joined his clan." Jasper's eyes grew wide. "But...Don't they eat bones?" Brownpaw laughed. "No, bones are disgusting! We eat fresh prey. I like in the clan but... I really miss it back home." Jasper smiled warmly. "I'll take you home. C'mon." Brownpaw waited for a moment, then nodded. "Just let me tell my clan first, okay?"

Quetzalkit padded after her sister at a pleasurable pace, glancing around for Heronkit but receiving no indication of the silver tabby's other sister. She continued following Swankit, feeling she'd better know where Heronkit might be, but the dare-devil kept looking all the same.

Ashtooth slightly groaned, but didn't bother arguing any further. His eye caught a glimpse of the two pleading to leave the den. "Fine." He mumbled stubbornly. "Where should we bring them first?"
Heronkit had ventured away from the Old-Timers' den before the tale was over with. It sparked her interest as much as any other kit, but she didn't want to dig herself in a deeper quarrel with Swankit. Just sitting by her sister made her cower. Why am I such a wimp? She cursed at herself while kicking up a cloud of dust. The hole the she had kept her special rock was now empty, but she decided that she would just wait for it to magically appear. Ugh, and now I am nothing more than a mouse-brain.
