It was storming again as Vincent headed out to find shelter. The air was very humid and had a pleasant smell to it. The rain was coming down in buckets, running off of Vincent's scales, and there were occasional bright flashes of lightning, and the unusually loud thunder soon followed quickly after. It was so quick, however, that there was hardly any time between the two. The storm seemed to be directly overhead, and it had come on so quickly.
Vincent traveled along the cliff wall with the sun behind him. He was heading in the opposite direction of the waterfall, looking for a cave or depression along the wall. Usually, he glided off of his sentry post to a small cave he had found and made his den, but that cave was across the wide, turbulent river, and with his wing out, he wouldn't be able to cross without risking his neck.
Vincent found a sheltered spot in the wall. There was a protrusion of rock above that jutted out. Some water was rolling down it, clinging desperately onto the bottom until it couldn't go on any longer and beaded up to fall onto the ground. It formed a thin curtain of water. Vincent walked through and pressed himself against the wall to try to keep away from the heavy rain.

Neo leaped off his nest and flew high over the valley. He loved to soar up, and then simply fold his wings and drop. He would fall, and then extend his wings and glide along the valley floor. Today though, he had something else on mind. He had a dream and in it something strange had happened.
I was flying over mountains and valleys, faster than was even possible. I stopped in a valley with a stream that widened and became a river. The water seemed to be whispering, saying my name in a voice I recognized, but wasn't sure who it was. 'Neo... Neo...' "I'm here." I said. I looked into the water and saw a magnificent tree, with leaves that were changing through the seasons. 'Neo...'
Suddenly, the river started to widen, and I was getting sucked in. 'Neo, help me!' I was sucked down into the water and the scene twisted.
'Neo... Help...' -

Boom!
The white dragon jolted awake to a loud thunderclap and rippled invisible, a defensive reflex. She could faintly hear the patter of rain outside over the crashing waves of the river. She looked out the cave exit to see the river rushing by, and...was it higher than usual?[move]*Neo change your dream thingy!* *Neo change your dream thingy!*[/move]

Vincent stared out into the heavy rainfall. It had been raining for a while and didn't show signs of letting up. Then, he realized that he was sinking slightly. He looked down and saw that the ground under his feet had collected water. It seemed that the water had run deep because it had become thick mud that sucked at his feet. It had covered his toes already and was creeping up to his ankles. Vincent pulled his feet up with a squelching noise that seemed to pop when it released his feet.
More thunder rumbled. However, it continued long after thunder should have ended. Then, Vincent noticed mud dripped along with the water from the rock above and could feel vibrations through the rock pressed against his back. In a heartbeat, Vincent made the connection and recognized the danger he was in. Mudslide! -
The white dragon became visible and jumped down from her ledge. She looked out at the river and noticed that it was higher than usual. Seeing that now this entrance would be blocked from further use if the water level continued to rise, she decided to check the other entrance too.
She crawled through the forest tunnel from the cave, flinching as water poured onto her head. Despite the rain, she decided to go for a quick flight. She leaped into the air and did a spiral aerial view of her cave and nearby surroundings. The white dragon decided to go scout around, and she did some aerial tricks and became a ripple again.

Neo spotted the mudslide and then saw the gray dragon directly in it's path. Even though he wanted to help, he thought, "I've already almost given myself away." He decided to see what the other dragon would do.
-
The white dragon heard a distant rumble that sounded different than thunder, but she couldn't tell what it was. She decided to check it out quickly.

Vincent thrust his head out through the curtain of rain and looked up the cliff face. He caught a fleeting glance of a five-foot wall of mud, toppled logs, and still-standing trees riding a brown river of rainwater towards him about before he was blinded by the dirty water splashing into his face. As he sputtered and pulled his head back in, he knew there was not enough time to escape the landslide. He would be buried here under tons of mud and suffocate. What a pathetic way to die, buried under disgusting mud, defeated by dirt. Bad enough to be conquered by nature but couldn't it be a noble death, like a destructive tornado or a mighty earthquake? Well, he supposed it was inevitable to be conquered by nature as it was natural to die. How long would it be? Funny, how quickly thoughts flash through one's mind when they're about to die.
But he wasn't going to die! Would he be more likely to survive if he stayed or ran? He estimated he had lost a second thinking. Vincent took his chances and bolted. -
Neo, watching from the sky, noticed a rock (...or was it the gray dragon...?) fly out from the cliff. He also cast about for the other dragon, but of course he didn't see any trace of it.

Before she reached the site of the rumble, the white dragon had to land because the rain droplets had begun to ice her wings. She landed in the deserted dead forest, and blew her white fire on her wings to melt the ice off.
