Terry smiled in her sleep and pressed against Kodi. Her black and brown fur mixing with his grey and brown fur. His scent filled her nose and that filled her heart with happiness. She folded er ears back and let out a small rumble of pleasure.

Terry blinked her eyes open and yawned. She blinked te sleep out of her eyes and hopped off the couch. She stretched and nudged Kodi, attempting to wake him. Happiness and calmness filled her heart.

Hey sleepyhead
Her eyes met his nervously. The husky mix was never good at meeting other dogs' eyes. It always made her feel like they were judging her. -
Akino ran even faster.

Soon enough she was beside him. "I'm fast too" she barked happily.

Akino turned the other way, attempting to confuse Rashka.

Akino stopped, seeing a squirrel run up a tree. Tilting his head, he went towards the tree. "Why do you think squirrels live in trees?" asked Akino.

Come on, I'll show you one of my favorite places to go down here…
She began to trot towards the thin, high window. Her nails clicking in the empty calm air. She let her thoughts wander as she put her paws onto the thin ledge overlooking the yard. -

Terry hopped down and sighed, she beushed the tuft of fur out from over her left eye.
I do miss being outside. More than anything… I've lost track of how many days I've been down here. The days pass by in a blur. Always the same thing… -
She looked up to where Akino was looking. "I don't know, why do we live on the ground?" she asked smiling.

"Duh, we can't climb!" teased Akino, wagging his big, bushy tail.

She chuckled, "You've got a point!"

"Maybe we could ask the squirrel!" suggested Akino.

"They probably don't speak dog" she smiled, licking his ear.
