Graystream, although not really needing to was peering out into the forest. With the threat of wolves she couldn't help but fear that they could follow them here. She looked away momentarily, her dark gray eyes glancing behind her if only for a moment before she rose to her paws.

Echokit smiled, "We will." She mewed before looking to Cloudkit. "Wanna go find something fun to do?" She asked him now, seeing as she had grown bored of sitting in the nest for most of the day when it was such a nice day to actually get up and do something. "Maybe we should have a contest, like... whoever catches the most beetles wins?" She asked.

Shadowpaw nodded and quickly followed after her. He kept his eyes drawn forward as he looked around depending mostly on his sight and smell to find his way and to keep up with Rosepaw. As they reached the slope Shadowpaw frowned. "Hey, be easy, let me help you." He warned as he used his shoulder to nudge her hindquarters forward so she could propel herself using what strength she had mixed with the remaining strength of his own.

The spotted tom had missed her thanks as he really couldn't see much in front of him. He pushed harder feeling his legs shake from beneath him although he had a feeling in his gut that they were close, plus aside from the strong scent of Rosepaw, he could smell grass and trees faintly. They were so close.

Echokit smiled. "Great! I'll be easy, I promise." She mewed. "Alright, on your marks... get set...go!" She rose to her paws to begin her search.

Shadowpaw grunted as he was pulled up and quickly scrambled to help Rosepaw get him up there. He huffed as the cool air hit him like a storm and he took a deep breath. "Thank Starclan, we're safe..." He panted looking to Rosepaw now. "How's your leg? You can lean on my shoulder on the way back, if only to stay off that leg." He offered rising to his paws once more as they shook with anticipation, he wanted to get home and see Jaypaw, tell his brother about the adventure while he heals Rosepaw.

Graystream's dark gray eyes scanned the group once more, noticing where her kits were and finally rising to her paws as Swifttalon came into view. She made her way over to him, a loving smile on her face. "Hi." She purred touching her nose to his cheek as she approached.

Echokit began to look around trees that were nearby. She assumed they always had bugs crawling up and down them and that it wouldn't be too difficult to find a few. Feeling around the rough brown bark she searched for holes and cracks where beetles might make their home.

(Yep, sounds good)

Shadowpaw sighed as they finally returned to the group. The scent of everyone was almost overwhelming. "Come on, just a little further." He told her as he kept his eyes ahead finally happy to be home.

Shadowpaw looked over and although he couldn't hear her reaction he could feel her shudder as she lifted her paw back up. "Come on, let's get you to Quickfeather and Jaypaw." He offered. "We can check out what's going on a little later, okay?"

Echokit inserted her paw into a crack in the tree. There she felt something and as soon as she pulled her paw out a small black beetle crawled out. As she went to pounce on it it flew off into the air. "Hey!" She squeaked as she raced after it to catch it once more.

Graystream purred as he licked between her ears. Upon mention of Echokit she nodded her head happily. "I know, she should be better very soon I hope. I was so worried at first but if she's easy, I know she'll be able to become an apprentice at normal time, with a clean bill of health." She mused happily.

Shadowpaw watched her go waving his tail goodbye. For now he decided he'd go and find Strongpaw, he hadn't seen much of him since he was gone and he wondered what his friend was up to.

Jaypaw was checking herb rations, his mind was wandering as he fell into thought. He thought about Lostpaw, he'd need to check on her soon.

Leaping up into the air Echokit extended her paws as high as she could muster and just barely caught the beetle between her paws. "Gotcha!" she purred feeling accomplished. She carefully picked the beetle up between her jaws trying hard not to kill it on accident. She hurried to Cloudkit. "I cawt un." She mewed between the beetle.

Graystream nuzzled him. "That's okay. Even so, they'll be very strong warriors and be a great asset to the clan. It will be sad to see them leave the nest and start training, but I miss being a warrior too." she admitted.

Echokit thought for a moment before placing the squirming insect between her paws. "We could just count them and then set them free. I trust you so I know you wouldn't lie about your number." She decided with a shrug. It was the best she could come up with at the moment other than killing them, but she'd feel bad for that.

Jaypaw abandoned the now organized herbs. He looked about although he had an idea as to where Lostpaw was. Rising to his paw the blue-gray and white tom made his way over to her. "Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked, slight concern in his voice yet still casual.

Shadowpaw looked about not sure where they were. His wounds from earlier weren't bad so he didn't have to worry about going to see Quickfeather and Jaypaw. As he finally found him he noticed Whisperpaw and a cat he had never seen before. He made his way over, "Hey Strongpaw, Whisperpaw, and..." He trailed off looking to Dancing leaf.

Dancing leaf look mildly alarmed due to the fact that the multicolored tom just happened to show up. She didn't speak though, she only watched to see if this cat who appeared to be the same age as Strongpaw, would attack. She hoped not, after all, she nearly got beaten up by Tigerblaze earlier.

Graystream's whiskers twitched in amusement. "I'm not sure if I should be proud or worried." She joked, she knew she'd be very proud of her kits if they ended up better than her. She'd hope to see one of them be leader one day, and knew each of them had the potential to do so.
